How goes?
Hello ladies and gents.... I already posted a topic in fashion, but noticed this shortly afterwords.
I'm Adam... AKA Rizash. Rizash means Risen from the Ashes.... I created the nick back in 01 when I was going to "re-start" my entire life. Little did I know it would take me til 2006 to actually get to know myself well enough to start to exprss myself!
All my life I've been "anti trendy" "anti popular" etc... and have always wanted to be myself. I was pretty much "walled" into hiding my true color by fear or rejection. Now that I'm a bit older and every last one of my friends has moved off I'm saying "screw you guys" to society... I'm going my own route, the way I should have years ago. I'm really just starting to meet my style with my lifestyle/way of thinking (as it has been for more than a decade). I'm really opening up to myself, and its time for a few changes in my life... the first being fashon.
For the record.... my current "style" is non existant and anti-conformation driven. its non name brand shirts and blue jeans.... and by shirts, I mean work style T-shirts and pocket T-s... cant get any LESS stylish than that, hehe. I've also been the type that didnt really care about hair, etc.... since no matter what I wasnt happy with how I looked because it didnt feel right. I think I've found my groove, though!
Please say hello if you happen to read this! You guys are awesome, from what I've seen in your posts anyway!

Being "yourself" isn't a mode of trend. Sit down in a quiet place, close your eyes, and think, "What am I?" The answer will come to you.
No matter what, though, welcome!

Good for you for being on the right path, Rizash. Being against trendiness can be as shallow as being trendy, unless I've misunderstood you and your real life is "simplicity" not anti-trend.
Howdy anyway. *off to find Rizash's fashion post*

And about those darned questions....
I work in a bowling alley.... stuff I enjoy/do? Music, cars, music, computers, music, electronics, music, etc....
In boring sleepy Wisconsin
Neal Stephenson (Snow Crash + Diamond age = freaking kick ass!
Matrix series, hands down. So many hidden philosophy references most people will NEVER notice, good plot, great action, great editing/effects.... its perfect. Other movies? Blade series, LOTR series etc.... I like movies with hidden philosophical references or deep hidden content. Otherwise it has to have good action/dialogue
Wedding music? Hrm, well, I do like slower stuff too, but that would TOTALLY depend on Mrs. Right... mutual decision
Funeral music? VNV nation -- death is but a part of life, why be down and somber at the end of a life? I may not hear it, but at least my ashes will resonate with the sweet potent VNV nation vibes one last time.
How to die? Whatever the fates would have I'd like to live to old age, but either way I hope I can open people's minds before I die.
Uhh, Cremation ... ashes to ashes... Rizash is the nickname I've gone by for years, it means Risen from the Ashes.... Life and Death are related, I may as well go back to the dust I came from quickly, may it allow me to return to where I came from quickly.
Fav. Outfit? As I'm just a baby goth in terms of actually dressing it? I'd have to say black tennis shoes black jeans and any given black T-shirt bearing VNV nation, IOC, or other band of choice. (Hey, its a start, self expression is new to me)
What do I miss about being a kid? Two things... being ignorant enough to believe my family will be here forever, and not having to pay bills.
Just high school education... I dont have $100,000 USD to go to a tech school for 2 years... so I'm trying to educate myself.
Why did I join? Because I'm going to finally being expressing myself... something I've never done. I HAVE always liked talking with people from subcultures anyway, I've always found people with differences to be way more understanding, and since they go through more crap than most, I think they're more worth-while to talk to
And yeah... I'm a guy (if you cant tell)

LMFAO... I drive a 1995 Firebird Trans Am and its the boldest self expression statement I've made in my entire life. I think that car looks simply badass/out of this world. Plain and simple that car got me "out of my shell" its weird how one bold statement can crack a person's "shell" or "wall" like that.

You like Blade, LOTR, and the Matrix. For some reason, I believe you might like "Equilibrium", if you ever get the chance. If you've read 1984 and liked it, I'd say you'd probably like that movie.
Anyway, welcome.

Good taste in music. Educating yourself is admirable. That's all I can think of for now.
Welcome.

1995 Firebird Trans Am... of course its got the V8 not the most awe inspiring engine in the world, but she moves.... 275 HP 325 LBS of torque... Its a 4 speed auto sadly, lazy people buying the automatics make the manuals hard to find but she'll still break the rear end loose when she hits 2nd (at about 42-45 MPH) 107,000 miles, never had a tune up, and I get 8 MPG in the city (heavy foot not the cars fault) 26-28 on the highway, heh.... BTW: Its insane that it can break em' loose from 40+ because she's sitting on 245/50/ZR16s so.... thats a lot of rubber to spin
"Equilibrium" I'll have to check that one out....
Also, I like a lot more music than I listed, its just... a bit of what I listen to

Yeah, that must suck. And I really bet just a ton of people look up to you and your style. And I bet the preppy bitches just don't get it.

Trend setter.... well at least you can still shake your head at them for their stupidity in misunderstanding.... Also... it probably means you look good the way you dress, so.... Imitation is the highest form of flattery, lol
