Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL.

Endtime: Abrasive Darkwave

I finally have a music project that feels sincere! I'm desperately looking for feedback though.

"A self-produced project painted against a cold, bleak soundscape on an electronic canvas.

The ferocity of Aggrotech mixed with the melancholy of Darkwave. Sometimes both, sometimes either.
Emotionally sincere music that allows me to channel my negativity and pessimism into a creative, rather than destructive form. I hope it helps. "

Twilight Lightning is my personal favourite, the lyrics as well.

Why does it need to be based on any form of music? Create what you will. If it doesn't live up to your expectations, mold it into something you prefer.

Because it needs foundation and a path to follow or else it will just go nowhere.

That's why I said "mold it into something you prefer." If you do something that a bunch of people/groups have already done, just because they're "good," you're not really going anywhere. Sure, you can copy something popular and succeed, but is that really success? No, it's not. It's merely copy-cat. But if you do something that you like, regardless of whether or not it "popular," at least you're being true to yourself. And that, as cliche as it sounds, it what matters.

In other words, do what you like. Then experiment. Then combine the two. Figure out what's best for you, and go with it.

I can think of no other artist who has the same soundscape as Endtime. The sound is drawn from a varied collection of bands that have influenced me over the year.

Interesting, I like. Relaxing to me, I'm used to a faster, more engaging style, but I like.

In essence, it is Darkwave, albeit with a harsher beat and texture.
