#11 doesn't help at all. At least name SOME bands you listen to.

I like Breaking Benjamin.
And why does the whole Slipknot-is-not-goth thing matter? No one claimed that they were... And it's ok for goths to like non-goth bands.

All right. It felt like you were implying something else, but if you were just mysteriously compelled to organize the bands by genre that's cool, then.

Thank you
Thank you DarkHeartedDemoness...I interpreted what he said the wrong way too. I agree that is okay for goths to listen to non-goth music too.

Actually, not except for The Cure.
My tastes run a little more "indy", though.

I'm always looking to expand my musical interest too. Any suggestions of good bands to check out?

I have two bands I kind of push from Myspace...
www.myspace.com/ivoryband
www.myspace.com/whenthoughtsreside
Other than that, do you like Stone Sour? What about Cyndi Lauper? Ani DeFranco?

But Saph, you're not goth. So, it's okay for you to listen to non goth bands.
At least, not goth by any means of music, and I doubt you live a gothic lifestyle. Though, not knowing you, I could be wrong. I still am with great doubt.

Yep,
The Dresden Dolls
Subway to Sally
Bauhaus
Satyrian
others can go on for hours, but those are just 4 of my personal favorite bands.

Well, I'm not here to prove myself to anyone or convince anyone that I live a specific way. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but unless you know me you don't know for sure

I listen to The Dresden Dolls and Bauhaus. Never heard of the other two which just means I've got something to look up.

I know that only a small percentage of the people here could actually pass for goth. And, dear, you're not one of them by FAR. No offense. The gothic movement really began with music, and you don't have that. Not even close.
