Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Bjork
I did not see a thread for her, I appoligise if this has been posted before.
Just wondering, as I know it enters in the pop sector. But recently oddly I have begun to really like her work.
Just wondering if there are any other fans of her here?

Well, I can't find it...
Anyway. I adore Björk and her music. It's amazing. My favorite album is Homogenic. I love her "weird" vocals mixed with the beats and symphonies. It really touches one's soul. And besides, she's got a really cool style.

What's scary about Björk? She's the cutest, most child-like 30-year old you'll ever find. ;P

Lol but unlike courtney shes more original. Courntney would not know originality, if a man named original slapped her silly with a fish while clowns danced on a bed of nails.....which I would like to see now mentioning that.

I kind of like Courtney Love. I mean, in her earlier, "Hole" days.

Björk is a genius. It's obvious because people think she's so weird.
Hmmm... Homogenic was awesome--one of my favorites... I just recently heard Medulla, and that one grew on me pretty quickly as well.

I was a big fan of the Sugarcubes from nearly day one, actually having heard their first single on the Dr. Demento Show (of all places). It really irked me when they cancelled their Portland tour dates TWICE, on TWO DIFFERENT TOURS, meaning I never got to see them live. Recently they played a reunion show in Iceland, and a friend of mine actually travelled there and saw them.
I was extremely excited when Björk went solo, but then massively disappointed in her music when it came out. I stopped paying attention after the first couple of albums. Perhaps she's done some great work since.
