Dead Like Me

Has anyone seen this series? It was aired on Showtime and now is on the Sci-Fi channel. I just watched both seasons on DVD and wondered what everone else thought of it.

LOVE that series. It's so deadpan. But the Sci-Fi version is editted so you might want to try getting the series dvd's.

I don't watch television, but I've been watching Dead Like Me on DVD and it definitely is enjoyable. I like the idea of the afterlife they've come up with, and the whole premise of the show has proved to be very interesting to play out.

My only complaint about it is the portrayal of goths... It seems in every episode they've got to have some death-obsessed 'gawth' prancing around and making a fool of themselves. It isn't so terrible as to really anger me or anything, but it does put a damper on what could otherwise be one of my favourite shows.

I started watching the show on the Sci-Fi channel then was told that the best parts were edited out so I downloaded the series and watched it on my computer. It's true the best of the episodes were edited out due to the "graphic nature" of the program. The FCC amuses me about shit like that.

I watched the whole series when it was on "On Demand". Completely awesome--but now I have to go back while its on Sci-Fi and play "Spot the 'Gawth'". Are they really in *every* episode?

Im not sure Ive only seen them in 2 episodes, but they had a role in them. Like when Mason has sex with that one girl in the cd store and all of Reggie's new friends that come over.

Just to correct what I said a whole month ago, 'every' episode was an exaggeration! I think there were about three or four episodes that actually featured goths.

I have a feeling I posted that right after watching the episode in which George's little sister tries 'going goth', and there was a scene in there along the lines of "What is goth?", "Making a few sacrifices to Satan then eating pizza...". And that was a conversation between the parents.

Still a good show though.

I loved the series, but got lost because I rarely watch TV. I do miss it, though, it was clever and funny.

I loved that show, and yeah, the "sacrifices to Satan and ordering a Pizza" line had me dying.

The more sarcastic humor is/was my favorite part about the show

That's the kind of grade-A snark i live for, like telling an idiotic former co-worker who asked me if i heard voices "Yeah, but i had to learn to ignore them because all they ever said was 'Kill, Kill, Kill"

Dead Like Me is the best

I have to agree with all of you, Dead Like Me, is the best....was the best show on TV. I can't believe that they are not making anymore because they can't get a network. If you want to know more about the Show check out these sites:

Or if you want to tell those network guys to put the show back on then please sign this petition at:

Hope you all give the show some support and sign the petition and get your friends to sign. Come on please....spead the word

Love this show! I do, however, think the ending was a tad rushed and definitely left something to be desired.

I would love for this show to be back on the air, but I don't know if that's even possible. Sadly, the cast has all moved on to do their own seperate things.
