I third that Tori Amos is a fucking Goddess.
Alanis Morrissette is too.
Though I wouldn't count myself as guilty for liking Amos and Morrissette....

Yeah, she went sexy as a joke/parody type thing. Apparently, she was making a statement. No one's sure when the joke is going to end, though.

Yeah, her music was good.

On a side note, my dog's name is Dax.

This is the music video that was supposed to be a parody, and that started her sexy new look.

Tori Amos, Alanis and Suzanne Vega are all good.

I like Transvision vamp. Catchy tunes, mindless lyrics.
Britains answer to Nena. Nena was much better though.

Talking

Spurred on by the Rocky Horror Picture Show thread, I have to admit yet another. Meatloaf. He is probably one of my all time favorite singers. His voice is just wow, and the music itself, wow. Ok, I'm over it now. Flame away!

Nah, I remember all too well being fascinated by the Bat Out of Hell video as a kid... And the Diner song is good. (I forget the title.)

Plus, he was in a Tales from the Crypt episode.... Ah, the memories.

Christina Aguilera- The songs I really like of hers are the one that goes "when I'm lost... in the rain..." and "Beautiful". Mainly I like her more depressing(ish) songs. I hate hate hate hate hate with a passion the "Ain't no other man" and "Dirty" songs.

No Doubt - I love Gwen's voice & style, but I don't like her new stuff. I saw No Doubt live and they were awesome. I'm just disappointed in her new pop/hip-hop sounding stuff... it's... ick!

Jewel - love her. Pieces of You is by far the best album. I also like the Deep Water album.

The only thing I'm highly embarrassed to admit to most anyone (except theatre geeks) is that I LOVE broadway show tunes!!! I was in both school and community theatre in Jr high & high school, so, yeah. Some of my favorite musicals are Annie, :::hides::: Once Upon a Mattress, Guys & Dolls, and Bye Bye Birdie

Linen - no need to be embarassed... you know, I'm going to be studying musicals next term, so you're not the only one hooked on show tunes. *hums the Time Warp*

I'm not really embarassed about anything I listen to, either. I love Elvis Presley, Enya, some songs by No Doubt, Pink Floyd, Robbie Williams (admit it, he's got a great voice), Subway to Sally and Leonard Cohen, amongst others. Oh, and Disney tunes. They've got a special place in my childish heart.

I enjoy early MCR despite being one of the bigger tr00 metal fans on the board.

I'll even admit they were my first concert.

Most modern power metal is an embarrasment to music.

I also appreciate the creativity that MCR showed on their last album. My greatest shame has to be my [wince] enjoyment [wince] of hairmetal [wince].

Random exploration of nonfitting styles hardly counts as "creativity"...
