Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL.

Hey, what's wrong with Pink Floyd?! Could have chosen a better album than the Wall, but still....

Iron Maiden are good, not in Judas Priest's league, but they try, bless 'em.

Fear of the dark's my favourite album.

See? Nothing, that's what.

Tell you what: I'll just come back tomorrow. It's 8pm in Western Europe and I'm leaving work (meaning I couldn't possibly care any less).

I'll be very curious to see what this thread looks like in a few days.

Have fun...

p.s. I am a moderator on this site, so I AM IN CONTROL. Think about that one for a while.... Iron Maiden's gonna get you, no matter how far....

Aside from the immature behavior on this thread, I like Iron Maiden. A friend and I used to go see them every time they came to L.A.. This was back in the late 90's though. Their recent work is... how do I say... mediocre. Bruce Dickinson's solo projects are good too, and worth checking out.

Oh, and that comment about the "embarrassing hairstyle" Bruce Dickinson used to have, the person who made that comment should be embarrassed from that sort of attitude. I don't care who you are. (or were).

Oh, I forgot to mention. I fully concur with the people who posted that;

Iron Maiden: early stuff, good. Later stuff, bad.

But isn't that how it always goes ?...

Iron Maiden. I admit they were good when they started out but they really took advantage of their fame.

Bands who get close to greatness always last longer than the bands who actually achieve it.

Iron Maiden's one of those bands for whom AWESOMENESS was just out of reach, so they never burned out after making a perfect album that they couldn't top.

I have No Prayer For The Dying on cassette.

Because I'm old.

Di'Anno was may favourite Maiden singer, although I like all of their music with which Blaze was not affiliated. All the singers' solo stuff is better, though, a lot of the time.

D.C. I would watch what you say. Sweaing at mods, is only going to lead to is a banning, and also comments like your second one are going to make you unpopular here very fast.

Iron maiden, classic band. I saw them a couple of months ago, the best live act I have ever seen, and still as good as they were all those years ago.

Number of the beast, is probably one of my favourite songs offhand.
