Hi, my Chief has entrusted me with t-shirts sale. We offer the Rock bands t-shirts now. But there is a problem. Our customers say that categorization of bands is a little bit wrong For example Alien Sex Fiend is put to Metal category. What do you think about it? What category will be the best for Alien Sex Fiend? Goth, Metal, Pop Art, Punk, Rock?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Anyone who has ever seen Alien Sex Fiend would say it is undenyably a goth band. They have been around for so long and I don't think there are many Metallica fans that would classify this as a metal band. ASF is certianly an aquired taste for most. I have seen them live and have been a fan of there music for a very long time now. Music stores don't know how to classify things like this most of the time and most stores don't really have a goth section that I have seen. They just stick things where they can and it probably gets classified that way because it is heavily guitar based instead of industral or techno sounding.
Yes, ASF is nothing but Gothic. I am a huge Alien SEX FIEND fan, and this I know for a fact. Perhaps some industrial roots, but definetly not a metal band. The strange thing is that the only influence to ASF I can think of is THE CRAMPS, which are a good gothabilly/post-punk band. Though some may think of them as deathrock, the style is nothing but goth. Nik Fiend is a god, I based my charecter Billy on his hair (billy is my comic charecter). I hope to meet them some day.
