Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

"Your" Song
Hail All!
Ok, so every relationship has a song. You know that one song that you both refer to as "your" song. Or one that you associate with your realtionship with that person...
I want to know what it is, and if you feel like it...why?
Tool's "Stinkfist" is the song that I'd pin on my current boyfriend and I...

"It's always raining in my head" by Staind. We listened to it when we missed each other and couldnt be together as teens and when we were fighting and when we were cuddling and being together as one... -sigh- It just has a lot of meaning ok!

"Faithfully" by Journey
It fits perfectly. We love that song.
He also picked out "Your Song" the Ewan McGregor version from Moulin Rouge. I got to pick out Faithfully so he wanted a turn.
And by fault because this is the first song we ever danced to and because that was the dance that happened to make us cross each other's paths again..."Stairway To Heaven" by Led Zeppelin.

I got another one: "Instant Crassic" by NOFX.
"I'm swimming in a sea of pee
I'm hiking up a big mountain of poo
I feel like rolling in glass when I'm without you
I'm diving in a pool of puke
I'm fly fishing a stream of puss
That's how I feel when something separates us"

badteccy and I don't really have a couple song, but I guess if we had to pick a song related to the both of us it would be 'Bus' by Executive Slacks. She knows why.
"Oh No! Our legs are touching. Touching on the BUS!"

I only noticed it recently, but "the Logical Song" by Supertramp fits me quite well. I may cover it one day, hopefully getting guest saxophone from Daniel Ash.
When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful,
A miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical.
And all the birds in the trees, well theyd be singing so happily,
Joyfully, playfully watching me.
But then they send me away to teach me how to be sensible,
Logical, responsible, practical.
And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable,
Clinical, intellectual, cynical.
There are times when all the worlds asleep,
The questions run too deep
For such a simple man.
Wont you please, please tell me what weve learned
I know it sounds absurd
But please tell me who I am.
Now watch what you say or theyll be calling you a radical,
Liberal, fanatical, criminal.
Wont you sign up your name, wed like to feel youre
Acceptable, respecable, presentable, a vegtable!

Friday i'm in love- The Cure...
The sad part is that this is what our relationship has become. Not because we wanted it to, but because it couldnt be helped...

We... never really had one.
Well... There's "Winterborn" by Cruxshadows...
Also, for me personally, it would be something like "Marylin, My Bitterness"
