I just moved to Portland this summer from Texas. The long distance thing with my bf Manimal just sucked too much so I migrated to the NW.

I dig it here, and don't mind the moldiness yet.

It is soooo pretty it more than makes up for it I think.

Plus my very best buddy is here too, AlKilYu, it's like being the creme filling in a really twisted Oreo smutfest..

I live in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada. It’s about 15 minutes out of Edmonton, so we go there to shop and eat out quite often. I don't like it here but it's bearable because I don't live right in town, I live 10 minutes or so outside of it. It's also nice because it's about 3 hours (I say "about" because it really depends on how many times you stop. If you’re like my family we stop at every town. There’s 5 of us and someone always has to go the bathroom) away from Calgary, which is a great place to go shopping, and it's about 4 hours away from my favorite mountain to ski on!

Last year it snowed so maybe it will this year too? hehe! I'm assuming that it doesnt snow in Texas so what a fun surprise that would be! ♥

I live in Seattle Washington USA right now. I have lived here something like 7 years. My early childhood was spent near here, in an even wetter place (Port Orchard, floods every spring, great view of the navy shipyard in Bremerton)... The rest of my youth was spent in the Washington DC area. Chronology unimportant.

I went there on a school fieldtrip once in my teens. It was the one time I was ever on television. The best and worst thing about Virginia is its massive amount of history. Giant monster trucks with Confederate flags and "SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN" good old boys are the downside to being able to go see serious historical sites and free museums whenever, often just around the corner. I hated the weather too but who's counting?

Sarcasm Loy, sarcasm. That shipyard, with its nuclear subs and its Wednesday air raid siren tests, invaded my childhood nightmares, often.

Heh. Poor-N-Tortured. I went to Orchard Heights. WoohoO! They gots some good antique shopping over there though, and the weirdest crap washes up on the beach. I fished in those waters when I was a kid (and ate what I caught; they have signs up now telling you not to do that anymore). No wonder I'm so screwed up. *pops stalked third eye back into skull*

I hail from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and ended up down here by way of Michigan. Yeah, I took the scenic route! :lol:

I tend to bitch because there's really not much to do when you work nights, but it could be worse. I could still be living in Kansas. *shudder*

Besides, if I hadn't moved here, I wouldn't have met the Sam-person. I likes me having my own personal computer-geek-intellectual at my beck and call. :twisted:

i lived in tulsa once...good times. Spartan School of Narcotics, Slick Willy's, 3 Frogs Lounge, and of course Memorial Drive in the summer.

i dont miss it much.

At the moment I live in the small town of Carrabelle, Florida. its like 60 miles from Tallahassee the capital. Our claim to fame is that we have the world's smallest police station(its a phone booth with a squad car parked outside) It is also about 25 miles from Apalachicola, the oyster capital of the SouthEast. We are also the only county in Florida with out a stoplight. We petitioned one and are supposed to get one soon i think. In all our county has 11000 people in it. I used to lived in Boston Mass. But my dad got tired of the cold.

i envy your dad, dreamcase - and by default, i guess i envy you as well. massachusetts sucks and i want to get out of here also. florida or arizona would be a dual-number one choice.

alas, my wife was born and bred here and she has no desire to leave. i guess if i decide to leave her, i'd be free to do what i want - but i love and enjoy her and don't want to separate.

there are a couple of canadians you'll see pop up here and there on the boards - the most loveable one that comes to mind is Disfunction. and several people use a colored type - so don't worry too much - you won't stick out for stuff like that. as for the chat-speak stuff, please keep it under control.
