You've entirely missed the fact that this is a long-term engagement. It's not leading to marriage IMMEDIATELY. That's quite the assumption.

I hate bills *sigh* I pay pretty much the same thing except I don't spend that much on food or gas. I don't pay utilities either. Thankfully they're included with the rent.

$1,000 a month rent?
Either I live in a shithole, or Minneapolis has really great housing rates.
My rent is $375 a month.
Oh, and utilities are $55, and groceries around $150, my car payment is $130 and my phone is $70.
Pretty affordable, really.

It's what must be assumed when marriage is propsed. Usually, a man proposes knowing he is set with resources that can support a family. That's reality, and I don't care if it's offensive to you. It's not me being offensive. Just because it's not what you want to hear doesn't mean it's not true. There is nothing wrong with people questioning 15 year olds on why they'd want to get married. Frankly, I don't care what you do. It's just amazing how arrogant you are being to people who are older than you and quite possibly might be saying what they're saying for a reason.
So don't tell me it's quite an assumption. It's what the word marriage entails, and it's the picture that is brought to any married person's mind.

Mine is $1150 soon to be $1200. I'd say that you probably have great housing rates. Our city is booming, therefore prices are being increased everywhere.

Lucky you. I live in FL. That will get you a 2 bedroom apt in a nice place. Let's not even get on the utilities. In NJ, where I'm from, $1000 gets you into a shithole. Look up some apartments online. Its unreal. It's why I moved.

I think I love Minneapolis. Next year rent will be even cheaper, because my boyfriend and I are going to share a room. It's a bigger, more expensive room, but it's only about $600, so with the sharing it's $300 each.

Living with others definately has it's benefits. I live alone. I'd LOVE to only spend $600 on rent.

$1200/month will get me a 650sqft loft downtown. No rooms, just open space. I'm thankful that utilities are included.

Everybody move to Minneapolis.
Seriously. It's beautiful here, and it's not as scary as a lot of big cities are, and there's only a very small goth scene so you guys can come make it more fun. And with rent at these prices, you can afford to really party!

First off before he got banned (over the very thing that got him banned) me and bloopie made peace. But I find it quite interesting that this thread of all threads has become pretty much the biggest thread for talking about anything in such a short time.

The Poetry thread is still on track, and What Are You Currently Listening to. I think the general mentality, however, is that once a thread has served its purpose and no longer functions as it was originally meant to, jacking it any way is fair game.

Because I changed. That's what happens. Then things transpire that you could never foretell, and before you know it a commitment you would have died for is quite meaningless...
I've got no beef with you. And, you've stated my point for me - you know nothing, and I know nothing. Fifteen is a very young age to make commitments - do not be surprised if it all falls apart. But since you're aware of that possibility, I don't need to tell you that. Anyway, I do wish you luck and happiness in that aspect of your life.

What does the ring look like?
And no, that's not a smart assed question, I really am curious because I love rings.

It's nothing extravagant, but here's the ring:

She's absolutely in love with it.

Ly, that's so pretty!
I couldn't tell, is it just twisted metal or are there stones? I'm a big fan of unconventional engagement rights.

It is pretty. I'm assuming it's silver, which I love.

It IS silver, and there aren't any stones.
I love it.

And obviously, in that picture, it's being worn on a different finger. The meaning is still there, however. We're just trying to be somewhat discreet.
