Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind.

Hair

Hey...I'm new here, was wondering about any cool hairstyles I could do. Cause right now my girlfriend and I are getting tired of my hair being so plain and long. It's down to about my jaw right now and the only thing I had in mind is something like Ruki's from "The Gazette"(I'd love to post a link, but can't.) But I can't figure out how to cut it like his. I've never cut my own hair before, and if I went some place to get it cut, I wouldn't be able to get good angles. Any ideas? Heh ^_^

Get a scissor and do it yourself. If it turns out bad, have a wig or some cool hats as a backup until it regrows. There are worse disasters than giving yourself a bad haircut. Might even make a good joke. By the way, we do have a mega hair thread, you could've posted in that instead of starting your own thread; these forums get flooded with threads a la this one.

Don't cut your own hair, go to the hairdressers DON'T EVEN TRY TO. The risk isn't worth it. Normly at the hairdress's they will have examples for you to choose from.

If you haven't cut it by yourself yet, why start now? :P
Go to hair dresser and give them a picture and orient them on how you want it.

I cut my own hair once. but it wasn't to make it look good, I was just got mad at it one night so I grabbed my old sewing scissors and chopped it off. afterwards I went to the hair dresser and had it shaped into a kind of pixie cut

but, getting back to the topic.

in my experience if you show your hair dresser a good picture of the cut you want they can figure out how to make it work for your hair

yes, showing the hairdresser a pic of what you have in mind is a very good idea. But if you don't have a pic, you could check out this site: http://www.hairmania.org/index.jsp?ApplicationNr=0
They have a lot of cool do's
