Have.My.Own.Little.Blood.Party
Have My Own Little Blood Party
When life becomes too hard for you
What do you think you should do?
You think for a little while
Then you make your mind up
On that little thing that you think won't matter to anyone
When really once you have done it
They will crush inside
Because it shows once you have done it
Your mood changes
You talk about blades and shit
Then you think about your life
It makes you too mad
To think about anyone
The people who care about you
But you don't give a fucking toss!
So you co to the nearest blade
That you can find
And put it to your wrist
Gently move the blade back and forwards
So you can feel the pain
And watch the blood dripping for your wrist
Now that this has happened
All you can think about the blade
So you do it again and again
Until you are addicted
But all your friends say stop it
But never listen to them
Hell yeah
Listen to yourself
Go for that fucking blade
Keep doing it
But it's your decision when you stop not there's
So I will always
Try to hurt myself
Before I think before the consequences
But sense is what you need to stop
To stop hurting friends and family
And best to stop hurting yourself
But it makes no difference
You will do it for a long time

You probably wanted to post this in the "Literature" section.
Also, please put "triggering" SOMEWHERE before the poem. Because hey, guess what? I'm a recovering cutter, and this is a trigger.

Attention whore
that's all you seem to be
you're not a rebel
you're certainly not free
you all can be "different",
though you all wear chain pants
and all think "metal" has something to do with goth
this travesty is just that
a bleeding, horrible tragedy
people have real cutting problems
people who cut for...
other reasons than trying to be "goth"
you, my ignorant baby bat
would make Santa Claus himself
vomit with rage.

Draconysius, I do hope you were not referring to me.
Other than that, I agree.

Good poetry. Write more. ... GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD why? I th1nk you need some writing lessons on goth poetry. Even cutting and pasting the works of Baudelaire and the person who Godslayer Jillian is a reincarnation of despite him not believeing oh well, I would have taken it but noos you had to do something without expirence and put it here, exposure eroding our eyes as you laugh sinisterly at the torture to which we behold, our flesh tearing open as your words echo through the organs placed on the upper left. The statue of the angel to which you created, placed open the the right side of the torture room. Shattered glass becomes the walls before us, as we witness your arrival, welcoming us with such a grin on your face-I behold-oh what horror-tears leaking from my virgin eyes as I witness my loved ones on this 'ol tomb be slaughtered-weaping from such unworthy young eyes.
Goth poetry, THAT IS GOTH WRITING. YOURS IS NOT. LEARN THE RULES OF THE GOTH WAYS.

I am inclined to agree with Tismine. However, don't bother posting this in the literature board. I don't think many will read it.
Bye bye.

I just read the poem again...
It's awful!
I don't care about the theme. Self-mutilation or not, it's still shit.
Blood_Party, you can't write.

As it is, I've contemplated the miniscule value of a life. I actually thought that you were satyrizing the act of self-mutilation, and discouraging others from doing it by bringing in the "friends and family" part. In any case, if you want to bring up that strong of a topic, then disguise it through metaphor. The human is a fearful creature;he or she is only willing to take in so much of the surroundings. Perhaps the topic was slightly too big for you...

If reading a completely meaningless anonymous post on the internet (of all places) triggers you to do anything, then you're a rather weak individual. Furthermore, the poem states that it takes sense to stop doing it by thinking of the people you're hurting by means of said selfish addiction. I don't care if you're a recovering cutter. I wouldn't doubt that a significant number of members on this board are recovering/ex cutters. If you consider this a trigger, you're better off hiding under a rock for the remainder of your insecure existence.

It doesn't trigger me. But it is still a trigger. I don't care what the poem's intentions are. I care what it says. It honestly would not have been that hard to put "Trigger" before putting the poem. That's all I was asking. It's more hard for some people than others to stop, and reading this isn't helping.

So if this would trigger them, I guess they'd better cut their food with a fork. Or never use red food colouring, or never eat red meat.
The way the red juices just pour out over the flesh...triggers me so. I cannot fight the urge.

I've never heard of the term "trigger" before now, and something tells me that nobody who hasn't had a wrist-cutting problem has heard of it, either.

Actually, I think reading it would help. Claiming it as a trigger is a clear expression of your ignorance.

But cutting with a fork would be more like stabbing.. would that trigger these individuals to poke themselves with pins instead? hmmm... the suspense is killing me - no pun intended.

You're right, I'm sorry. I'll never, ever, ever tell anyone to please do something that I think might help, just a teensy bit, ever again. It was horribly rude of me.
How, exactly, is it an example of my ignorance? And how would it help?

I admit this poem is terribly written with bad spelling and grammar alike, but it drives a point. For the lines you obviously didn't pay much attention to, here you go:

Hopefully the chosen lines have 'triggered' people to think twice before they do it!
