Brain problems can be overcome just like everything else. People all too often say everytime when it really is just somtimes. I myself possess an abnormal ridge in my brain. However this abnormal ridge is the same abnormal ridge that Einstein had, this abnormal ridge causes autism. Yet here today I have overcome the problems caused by it, and am now working on fixing the problems left over by it. The brain is a particular thing really, in all actuality it is more of a tool and any problems you possess because of it are because of you. I don't mind you at all personaly I can't say I hate you, you haven't done anything offensive personaly to me. You're just really really ignorant.

That was quite powerful =]
There's nothing I respect more than a person who overcomes such problems.

I like the people who use them as crutches. Then I can knock their crutches from under them and laugh because they have no other coping mechanisms. This works for people with broken feet also.

Is it really? I mean I figured that anyway (well, probably bipolar disorder first, ADHD second) but is it actually statistically?

I think that you should really read this missfreakychick, and perhaps take a peek at everything else on that website. Thank you.

I think it is statistical. Is bipolar disorder really that common? I've never met anyone who claimed to be bipolar, but I've met hundreds who said that they were ADHD.

It's a piece entiteled "Goodbye Cruel Internet, or The Great Flounce-Off". Why you should not behave like missfreakychick on this particular occation. It's from Gothic Charm School, and I figured that someone should direct her there sooner than later.

Bipolar disorder is swiftly replacing "I was drunk" as the number 1 excuse for doing anything regrettable.
I have a cousin who's a professional bipolar victim; the SSI he collects every month funds his Everquest addiction (when he's not out getting drunk). Oh, and there's nothing actually wrong with him.

Yeah...I truly feel for people who actually have mental diseases. That's terrible. But if you're going to say you have one and use it to get money from the government and just let your life rot away. FUCK you.

Amen to that.
I get having issues and working through them with some goof ups along the way, I just don't get having a crutch or a constant excuse for something that you were going to do anyway. Having the appearance of a clean conscience doesn't help you sleep at night.

It makes me so mad when people say they are "being bipolar" or the like. My mother has bipolar and it is NOTHINg to joke about or make light of..same goes with any disorder.

Babe, I'm going to put this as gently as I can, as you have done nothing to offend me. I will be the first to admit that in some cases the flames have been excessive, but you must also admit to feeding those flames.
We here hold ourselves to a very high standard for writing. I can almost guarantee (sp?) you that if you run your posts through a spell checker prior to posting, and maybe tone down the content of your posts, you will recieve a great deal more respect. No one is likelly to bother reading a post that is simply a string of profanity and insults.
As another poster said (I can not remember who, sorry), perhaps G-net isn't your place. I would also suggest vampirefreaks as a place to try. I know someone who met some of his closest friends from there. If you do decide to stay here and try to work on your writing, good for you. I think you could learn a great deal here, as I did. If not, then I sincerely wish you the best of luck in finding your place, may it be a happy one.

I'm bipolar, schizophrenic, and paranoid. I hate it, hate it, when people make fun of it, mooch off of it, or even pretend they have it. They don't know what it's like to rapidly go from loving to wanting to kill a loved one, and have no control over it.
And Missfreaky, we have lives. You are insistantly plauguing a part of it. And, for the love of god, stop using 'fucken.' It reminds me of chicken.
If none of that made sense, I'm sorry. I've had a long day.
