masculine
i dont know if this is wrong, but i just want to be me. i dont want to put on makeup. i dont want to wear a bra, i dont even think i need one. i seem to look better with piles of foundation on my face because im so masculin looking. my hair's too short. ive been mistaken for a "sir" in restaurants and i dont have a boyfriend, i find woman attractive...is this all just a symptom of my laziness. i hate beautiful people. i think i would be able to stand it if i was muscular, but i have no muscles...i dont like looking like a guy. i dont like feeling like im invisible...but i dont like caring what people think. i dont care if this looks shallow. im just not sure why i should change. i dont look too much like a guy. no one wants to look like me.

I have a good friend, she also looks very masculin and when people walk by we hear them talking: is that a guy or a girl?
Ok, she is bisexual and has come out for it, I might even say she's proud for it. She cut her hair very short not so long ago and she's as happy as ever. She never wears make-up and I wouldn't know her any other way. Just be you! And don't mind what other people are saying.
But if you really don't want to look masculin just find your own style with make-up, hair and clothes then. It appears to me that you don't like your style now so why not change it a little? Try for something new.

Being mistaken for a "sir" when I had short hair always gave me a laugh. I also am a bit masculine looking, but I don't let it bother me. In fact, the last time I put on make up I thought I looked ridiculous.
You should just stick to being you. Don't let everyone dictate how you should look or act. Maybe you want to be invisible? Have you tried looking people in the eye as you see them coming towards you? Looking someone in the eye and smiling as they approach you can do wonders. I used to think I was invisible until a good friend of mine taught me that little trick.
As for not wanting to look like a guy, I really don't know what to tell you other than dressing yourself up in feminine clothing.

i have facial hair...this is the main reason I look like one because I have it on my face. I cant find any cheap way to get rid of it...just wanting to say this- it's completely rejected by our culture for women to look like that. I also hate the way it looks but cant do a thing about it. I use creams that burn, if i shave it it looks bumpy tearing at my skin.
that's why it's so hard to hide the masculinity, i have to cover up my whole face just to look normal. on top of having really small breasts, really short hair and broad shoulders- Im starting to wear makeup and this has helped but sometimes i just wish it didnt take so much work.
other than that- my face is actually pretty feminine, if i wear makeup and also i have long eyelashes...but now Im an adult...i dont think this has anything to do with hormones either, because my aunts have this too Im partly Italian but also partly french. My mother is beautiful she has fair skin and freckles, blonde hair bright blue eyes no blotches my brother got her skin and i got my father's, olive complexion...although i like some things i hate not being able to look the way i want.

I don't think anyone looks the way they want, we all have our things. Try a special bra, try to put accents on your feminine points. Using makeup is experimenting and learning, it'll take time but you'll get used to it. About the facial hair I can't help you much, try a good cream after shaving and if you have enough money there is something with lasers I'm sure, so you can remove it permanently. Cheer up a bit, I'm sure you're more beautifull than you want to make us believe here.

If it really bothers you that much there should be some hormone treatments around to help with development of more female characteristics and it should slow the facial hair from growing if your interested in this, maybe contacting a local doctor will be a good start.

Shaving isn't a good idea. It will just get coarser and you will end up having to do it daily like guys.

Wax? Might hurt, but...

Uh, which does remind me - always remember: you're perfect just the way you are because you're you and there's no one out there exactly like you.

Well, you can grow your hair if you want to look less masculine, make up helps also. Maybe you could find a tinted toner instead of using a heavy base, that will help it look more natural. Lipstick is one of the big things for me, and eyeliner.
I also have broad shoulders and a small chest. I find that it helps to pay attention to clothes -- my mother looks awesome in tailored suits and used to dress me in tailored things in my early teens. I looked like I was in drag. So when I dress up, I go for very feminine details. Sometimes it's fun to play against type also, so when I'm in the mood, I'll wear men's style jeans with a slim cut with Docs and a fitted T-shirt. I don't exactly look like a boy, but....people look twice.
It's fine if you're attracted to women, men, whatever. You want to experiment a bit to find what's right for you. That goes for dating, dressing, work, and pretty much anything else. This is a normal part of self-discovery and nothing to be worried about. People who don't go through this stage end up either having very boring lives or having one hell of a midlife crisis. So relax and enjoy the process!

Yeah, it is kind of sad how society emphasizes women to enhance their feminine qualities and downplay anything that can be associated with masculinity. Personally, I admire women who can go without makeup. How you are physically is just who you are, if you don't like it you can either get more fit by working out, or you can get more fat by eating junk food. Whichever you prefer, you pretty much have the power to do anything with yourself physically, appearance-wise. As for the facial hair, I can only stress waxing. Don't shave, it will make your face more rough.

yes. i use a cream right now but i hate using it. Waxing is so annoying.
Although, I got it waxed and it's lasted about three weeks so far. I would tweeze but that hurts so bad! it's the little hairs that bug me, because they are black- and it's noticeable.
