I rather liked this line. It is descriptive in a gothic sense, unlike the rest.
I would suggest that you expand your writing in this area and discard the rest.

Speaking of flippy hair... whilst browsing the used CDs yesterday I saw this guy with a very thick, shoulder-length piece of hair hanging in his face, and the rest was rather short. When he bent over to look at the CDs, the large piece of long (one-sided bangs?) hair was dangling. It was humorous. He had on the tight girl pants & tight shirt. Perhaps he wasn't Emo, but he sure was dressed the part.

I have nothing against emos myself, but some people do. As long as he writes with good grammar and spelling, posts an introduction, and is open-minded and willing to learn about the subculture, he will be welcome.

I agree; I'd have a hard time disliking any open-minded person with proper spelling and grammar.

I find it interesting to think however that before the emo (scene kid) trend started, if a guy like the one Linen described walked down the street in full emo attire he would have been shunned by all of his peers, probably; however, in today's world he is praised. Of course trends aren't anything new, but it still seems amazing to me, what some people will do.

Good goth I must say, there are TWO things getting old here: Emo-Bashing and the subject being brought up here. We have what? 8 threads about Emos and Scene Kids? Not even counting the parody videos made of them. Let's just let a little Emo kid safely walk along the Seattle rodes, hopeing to raise money for the Fugazi complitation album as he deals with angst and personal issues; and an ignorant little scene kid worshipping the Used and MCR as he pretends to self-mutilate himself with School Supplies. Can we not? Plus, Ravers are much more interesting to poke fun at.
