Dancers?

I wasn't sure where to put this, I thought seeing as it is musical related I'd put it here. Anyway are there any others on here that have studied dance in any form? I studied ballet when I was a child and did ballroom dancing in my late teens, I also did a little bit of tradtional Australian folk or bush dancing as well. I would love to learn Irish step dancing and clogging or flat footing.

Well, I had classical ballet training and belly dance for one year at school, if that counts, as well as being taught some things by my sister, who's a professional dancer. Myself, I usually do impro dance with a lot of influence from classical, jazz and latin dance (especially mambo/ salsa). I will be learning show dance at the musical theatre course I'll be attending the next two semesters.

I take jazz and hip-hop (lol) classes at a local studio. The jazz is because I want to, the hip-hop is just really good exercise.

I wish I could learn more styles, but my studio only offers pretty basic classes, and I can't really afford to go anywhere else.

Kindergarten through 2nd I did tap. 3rd through 4th I did ballet and jazz. In 5th I didn't do anything. Then in 6th I did jazz again. I've wanted to take ballroom dancing ever since I can remember. I love to dance though, anytime I can I do so.

I started off with ballet and jazz when I was little. Then I moved onto pointe and square dancing. Then hula and tahitian. Then belly and hip hop and tap. (I hated tap so I dropped out) Then onto modern and Traditional/classical Japanese dancing. Now I choreograph hip hop and teach traditional Japanese dancing.

And that ladies and gentle men have been my 18 years or dancing on this earth. (I'm currently 22)

In the 60's I took 2 years of ballet followed by 2 years of tap dancing, culminating in a performance at the Disneyland Hotel in front of tourists. That was fun! And I love picking up ballet girls (when they leap in the air. What did you think I was talking about? ).

I love goth and darkwave and electro-goth, industrial et al, but when I dance with Mrs. Humane, R&B is what moves us together. She can't dance to my taste in music, so I dance to hers. Personally I would rather dance to Clan of Xymox.

I think K-Dance (Korea Dance) was freakin awesome..!!!

There's a band called 'Super Junior'. That I'd once been at their concert.

It was impossible to see somebody dance like that on everyday life...

I've been doing tap for 9 years, jazz for 8, contemperary for 5 and did ballet for 3. I'm currently in a local dance company called Stompin (website:http://www.stompin.net/). It's pretty epic and awesome and stuff. They went on tour to Melbourne last year, so some of you Melboners may have seen them (?)

I study modern, contemporary, and lyrical dance. I've been dancing all my life, and it keeps me alive. I've taken lyrical and modern classes, but I'm starting up Ballet soon.

I started to do belly dance about a year ago, but had to drop out due to an acute case of reality. I want to do gothic belly dance, but it starts with a tribal foundation. The costume is to-DIE-for. If you haven't seen Tempest dance, you haven't lived. Really. I'd post a link, but Gnet doesn't like me that much yet. YouTube, search on Tempest.
