I've been drawing seriously since I was about 13 years old. But I'm still not very good. : /

Finished!

Zoom in on this because the original is 24" x 12". Definitely looks better in person, but heh.

Here they are, I bought them at a yard sale for 5€ each. They're done in charcoal by an artist called Holland.

P.S. Sorry about the flash reflection, my sisters camera refuses to switch it off

They are indeed originals. I couldn't find out that much about him except that he did charcoal drawings to pay his debts to his landlord .

Photoshop+Wacom=spectacular. I use the combination for sketches. It's so easy to change colours and rearrange elements... And one doesn't get ghost lines from poor erasure.

Mmmm two posts in a row... Sorry.

I have new art on my website. I will have more as soon as I take good photos. I need to make use of some light contraptions because I'm getting glare on them, which sucks.

Oil. I love oil. It's sublime.

I'm currently (and slowly, I might add) trying to unlock the secrets of William Bouguereau. I have a book that details his method... but I haven't got it quite down. His paintings look like windows. *thinks wistfully*

I need to do more life-drawing.

I thought so, but I got a bad eye at determining what was "authentically" done and what has been photoshopped XD Its very beautiful, I can see that going for a lot of money. Hell I'd make an offer if I had any money to spare.

Hehe. It's 4x5 feet. It's part of a triptych, and total it's 4x11 feet. Takes up most of one of my walls.
I'm thinking of splitting the triptych though. I don't think the sides go very well because they weren't thought of together. I only did them to fill size requirements for the assignment...
Edit: I'm also a beginner painter (not out of school yet), so it would be a low price for the size/work, compared to comparable paintings by more established painters...

Sweet, my roommate lent me a tablet, and I must say I'm loving it I'll have to find sketches I didn't finish and finish them in GIMP with it.

Anyway, here's a really quick picture I did with pastel, my friend Sam fell asleep and looked so cute I had to draw her XD Creepy Saya is creepy. I screwed up one of the bricks (this was in a dorm), but considering how fast I drew it I still like it.
