Sorry Tstone, I stopped reading Marvel in 1990. I remember reading a story where Wolverine and Captain America fight nazis and ninjas in the late 30-s hinting that Wolverine's probably a lot older than we had assumed before. Of course he hadn't yet been put through experiments by the canadian secret service (no claws), but he already had his trademark love for booze and regenerative power, which explains his age somewhat. I mean, I read the x-men when Banshee and the Angel were still in the team. One of my favourite series at the time was the time Phoenix turns into a megalomaniac whore (remember the Hellfire Club, White queen and black queen? Wolverine at his best).

2) Lord of the rings
1) Evil Dead-It gives you the willies and good laughs at the same time

i have to admit, Return of the King was pretty close to the book, but it will never be as good. he left out alot of details at the end, like how Eowyn and Pippin got that Black Breath disease thingy and how Eowyn and Faramir got married, but that was probably for time's sake. and how about those elephants, if that's what they were? they were massive!!! but still no match for the almighty Legolas *swoon* i hate how they have to tie some stupid love story into it. Arwen wasn't even that important of a character in the book. oh well. hollywood will do what it wants.
so yea, my vote definitely goes to Lord of the Rings. but i wish they would make a movie out of The Hobbit. it was just as good. besides, it came before the Lord of the Rings.

The Matrix would have to be my favorite trilogy. I have never seen any of the Lord of the Rings movies.

I'd have to go with LOTR,just on quality alone.I'll not get into parts they left out,it's been way too long since I've read the books.
I do like the Matrix trilogy, but they get cheesy after the first one.

The old Starwars Trilogy, followed by LOTR and then the Matrix.
I might reconsider though if the Blade III is any good....

fav trilogy
I like all three of them them, l.o.t.r, matrix, and star wars. They're all really good and in l.o.t.r the elves i love the elves, the orcs are cool, and so is smeagol.Iwish something else could've happened to smeagol in the end i didn't like what happened to him.

LOTR - 1 - sucked; 2 - amazing; 3 - pretty good.
matrix - 1 - amazing; 2 - horrible; 3 - awesome battle scenes
star wars - 1 - ground-breaking; 2 - dark and awesome; 3 - got a little cheesy, but held up. (these are episodes 4, 5, 6 - the original trilogy)
-------------------------------------
i'll wait 'til the third installment of spider man comes out before i vote on a trilogy.
when it does, my favorite will be spider man.
amen.

Come on no one voted for star wars at all? I loved it. Lord of the Rings was of course a very epic story as well and I also enjoyed it, but not one person voted for Star Wars... as for the Matrix I will never watch any but the first one again.

Hit this thread in agreement with TJ. LOTR was really really good, but for the best ever I gotta go with Star Wars.

I definately like The Lord most of all. Matrix has nice idea and effects but I find it too sugary in some places...although this sounds strange even to me.

I like the original Star Wars best. That was my favorite way to spend a Saturday for most of my life. Hell, it still is.

Mine has to be Sergio Leone's "Man With No Name" trilogy. Can't beat an ultimate climax of a three man quick draw in the middle of a graveyard. :P
