I like Australia because of the kangaroos and koalas. Also a friend of mine moved there.

I like Australia. It seems like an interesting place to visit. There also seems to be more acceptance of goths there than the city I live in.

Most people don't like Steve Erwin he's bombarded in our faces every time we leave the house on bus's, bill boards, ads in the news paper etc. I know its tragic about his death but it just gets old real fast seeing it everyday.

I love Melbourne - the CBD is so beautiful.
Also, you can't go wrong with the abundance of cheap, tasty wine :-p

I'm Australian, but have luckily seen enough of the world to know it's one of the most boring and overrated countries on earth.
Hate it. Aside from the beaches and whale migrations. And Victorian Gothic up in dear old Brunswick Street.
It's so shiny and clean and mundane. Rules for everything, and NO excitement. 'Oh my god, a friend of a friend of a friend was overseas in this one place and saw their TRAFFIC LIGHTS DIDN'T WORK!!!'. Oh no, someone might have been killed! Someone could actually DIE! Or get robbed! Or have any plethora of BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO THEM! Oh deary me! Stay safe in Australia! We've got QUARANTINE!!! Safety, safety, safety!
Argh, that's enough of a rant for now or I might start seriously offending people. I'm just a little peeved at my excuse for a 'home' country right now. There's no way in hell I 'still call Australia hooooome'.
The moment I have enough money I'm totally moving to Italy or the Netherlands or California or something... Maybe Finland.

I'm a dear old Melbournian myself, and let's face it Australia aint the land of greatness it's proclaimed to be but it's a hell of a lot better than some other places.
As for the accent..yes it annoys me too, well if you speak of the Steve Irwin accent, I myself was blessed with a more noble english accent.
Right now that THAT rod is up my ass let me begin by saying...
Crap I already said it all...
Yeah Australia is a good place to live

Honestly, any place that is outside of the United States seems interesting to me. I know that there's much to see in the United States, but the idea of a foreign country makes it seem that much more enticing to me. I'd like to travel as much as possible when I get older, despite my parents' attempts to discourage me.

Been meaning to travel there for a while now. It's only like a few hours plane ride away from my country, plus I got a friend there and some of my favorite Gnet members live there.
Also, I'd like to pet a koala and kick a kangaroo, or maybe ride one's pouch to the supermarket or something.
