Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab
I guess this is where this thread belongs. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this website. It sells gothic, horror, voodoo, ect. themed scents which I think is an extremely cool idea. Now not only can you look goth, but you can smell goth, too. They sell the perfume oils in little apathcary vials. Also guys, they're unisex too so if you feel unmanly buying a perfume, you shouldn't from here. I recently got the one called "Zombi" which is supposed to smell like dryed roses, moss, and upturned earth (in essence, like a cemetery). I imagine they wouldn't sell much if they made it smell like a corpse, though. Haha. Theres a whole bunch so take a look.

I've seen that site dozens of times, I wish I had paypal so I could buy something from there.
OR! I could go to my local graveyard....roll over the muddy grass and then rub moss and roses over my naked body.
Then get arrested.
XD!

I LOVE reading their descriptions too! They're supposed to be doing the Black Market at Bat's Day in the Park, so I'm planning to go and take a whiff of some of their smells. I'm leery of buying anything without a sniff first.

Well, they give such vivid descriptions of what each scent is and expertly adding the most exotic things in to get such a specific inspiered scent can only insure that it'll smell awesome.

I like the website.
I don't like buying perfume online, though, because you can never tell if you'll really like it.

Oh I'm sure of it. I'm fairly partial to Moonlit path by Bath and Body Works. At least I think that's who makes it. It has the smell of a rose garden at the time of night when dew settles in. It's good stuff.

Hmm. My ex wore dracul; I love that scent.
Bath and body works: I wear the black raspberry and vanilla

Yeah, if I wasn't paying attention, I'd get Moonlit Path confused with that stuff.
For some reason, I find that roses make a good scent for guys.. or at least for me.

I think it [roses] gives the man an intriguing, slightly mysterious quality.

Precisely, dear. I love having the smell of roses about me. Also, it's not overbearing.

True. Lavender and musk are delightful, but have a habit of announcing where they should be hinting. I've been looking at some of the lab's perfumes and was wonder if you could recommend any for a highschool age goth in california?

So I received my order of the "Zombi" scent and it's pretty much exactly how I imagined. Earthy with roses. It's amazing. They also send you free tiny glass vial samples of two randomly selected scents with it. How awesome is that?

They all sound wonderful, but I don't like the idea of buying a perfume without being able to smell it first.
I've also noticed at least one scent which lists ambergris as an ingredient, but it doesn't say wether it is artificial or not. I really hope it is because that is a whale product. Very rarely it can be found on beaches, but not in such quantities to be of use, and the only way to really get it is by killing whales ( which is of course, banned, but people find ways around such things )

Fear not..with the exception of items with honey in them, all other BPAL items are vegan. Anything that is musk, ambergris, civet, etc is an artificial blend.
BPAL is, in my humble opinion, the best perfumery ever.
Yes, you heard me. Out of all I've smelled, theirs has struck me as the highest quality, the most unique and thrilling. Each scent is like a voyage.
The first time I had recieved some, it was like I had uncorked magic into the room.
There have been a couple of scents that disagreed with me, but out of the 20 or 30 so samples and full bottles I have, that is a very small number.

I've always wondered if I should order something from them, and now I want it even more! It sound like they have wonderful scents, and I actually don't own any perfume at the moment.
The only thing is (like people said before) that it IS rather risky ordering perfume without being able to smell it first. But this shop is only so tempting that I'm considering doing it anyway.
now that I know that other people are satisfied with their orders, I feel a bit safer

I like Priala and Ultraviolet. Neither are that super flowery stuff that's popular with the preps. Both are sort of vintage and dark feeling.

They sell all of their general catalog scents in sample vials called imps. For a better deal, register on the forums and check out the "for sale" section under swaps. There is almost always someone selling imps for $2 each.

Imps Ears are the best way to try the scents without actually purchasing a whole bottle. They're cheap, and actually last for a good month or so, so you've really got time to see how you like the scent before ordering it.
I wear Eat Me most of the time, and Dracul or Perversion when I'm out at night. I get a lot of compliments on how I smell...Eat Me, in particular, can sometimes turn men from polite and friendly to creepy and obsessed with standing way too close. It ought to come with a warning label.
