Stupid Childrens TV Shows

Ok, my 3-year-old likes to watch this show called "Wonder Pets" on Nickelodeon. This is possibly the stupidest show I've ever seen, but I let him watch it because it is so frickin' funny. I think the writers are on drugs.

These pets are supposed to help animals, mystical and real. So they had a show a while back where a unicorn was in trouble. Yeah, you read that right -- a UNICORN. He had his horn stuck in a tree. So the solution they came up with was....wait for it....to "unscrew" the unicorn. Bwahahahaha.

In this episode we're watching now, the emergency is this Golden Retriever puppy needs to get outside to go potty. And he obviously can't open the door. And he's too "old" to go on the newspaper. Ahahaha.

A good party game: smoke a bong and watch this show.

My niece likes to watch "Jojo's Circus" and "The Little Einsteins."

Those are just two I can think of right now.

But to me they are the most annoying shows someone could ever come up with. I mean in "The Little Einsteins" every time there's 'danger' or something bad a violin appears and plays some sort of weird music.

But I love her and she's adorable, so I don't really complain.

My little brother is two and a half, so CBeebies is the order of the day in my house. There's only a handful of tolerable shows - things like Me Too and The Shiney Show make me want to stick my head in a blender.

They're a blast for the little ones and that's all I care about when it comes to childrens show. Ofcourse, nothing these days seem to beat the utterly neat quality "The muppet show" and "The fraggles" etc had, which was aired when I was a kid, but it could be worse. Teletubbies.. Brrrr...

I got one; when my brother was with his friend, he turned on Cartoon Network (Channel 22 where I reside.), and there was a show on that had the least original title I've ever heard or seen.

I kid you not. The show was listed as 'Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo'.

Fear not, I don't think that clip was every actually shown. I'm pretty sure it was an "off the clock" clip they made just for shits and giggles.

I remember seeing that clip awhile back. Apparently it was aired, but then quickly taken off/not rerun by angry mothers. The company pleaded innocence that they were making lewd suggestions.

There are dozens of stupid kiddy shows aired in Discovery Kids. I remember that channel used to have a larger audience, but some years ago it was changed to only baby shows.
My little cousin loved watching "Jay Jay the jet plane" and "Save ums". I hated both shows as they both annoyed the hell out of me.

My 2 year old loves this show. Then there's the japanese crane episode:

We have the muppet show on DVD and my daughter, who is 9, is watching it right now. I know she's not getting the jokes but she loves it.

Blue's Clues is insanity personified. Anyone who sings about getting the mail and follows his dog into a foam picture has to be a few horseflys short of a dairy farm. Oh well, I think it's the shit, yo, anyways.

I have a toddler, so I'm intimately familiar with terrifying kids' shows.

Why the emphasis on talking animals? Why are the Backyardigans all various animals who live in houses like people? What the fuck is the pink one supposed to be? Wouldn't kids relate to these shows better if the main characters were human?

And the Wonder Pets? Don't get me started on that horrible shit. My son doesn't even like it. It's the same show with the same songs presented in the same format every time. I want to twist the duckling's head off. I don't know why that thing infuriates me the way it does. The worst one is the episode in which they rescue a tree. Yeah. A tree.
