Then some X-rays, which showed curvature of the spine from (most likely) a lateral and a posterior terior view. The CT shows it from a transverse view, by take pictures of the spine by tiny 'slices,' that are put together and then can be viewed from several different views in a more detailed image than the X-rays.
He now has a hole in his spine. Awwww.

Well, I got really drunk and went to a really drunk naked dance. With Granny! She looked teh sexxy... we were all sorts of not-wearing-clothing, and all sorts of fucked-up. It was an okay dance, I don't think Granny had that much fun. I made out with five people- I think that's a new record for one night.
Oi. I'm tired. Or hungry. Hmm.

I forgot to thank gbw for this (and BEG her to return on a regular basis, come on everyone, help me out on this!) because for whatever reason I know nothing of all this, so I send the MRIs and stuff to her and EPS who know this MUCH better than I. gbw's translation of my MRI was SPOT ON! I was soooooo impressed! Looks and brains.
Also thank you Panther and Jane. ^_^
As for the test she mentioned, pain I have never experienced before. The needle puncturing your spine, you think "This is the most pain I can possibly imagine!" But they aim to please, and actually inject the hot radioactive fluid at that point! The nurse told me that the pain I am having as a result of all of my issues may be intensified once the berillium(sp?) actually hits those areas. To ensure this, they hit a button that tilts the table you are laying (on your belly) on forward. Now, your ass is partially exposed, and hot radioactive material is now flowing through your body and into the already painful parts of my upper back.
The nurse, seeing me grip the edge of the table like I am recieving e_e in the butt, offers her hand to grip, but me being the nice guy, knowing that I will crush her hand, decline the offer. They remind me to breathe, which I stop doing at times to keep from screaming. I did not utter a sound, to which the nurse called me a "tough guy". This helps the ego until your uncle has to come pick you up (not allowed to drive home at this point) tells you when he had it done, they said the same thing.
At this point you are hoping this fun won't end, after being told to lay perfectly still, full of that glowing shit they fill the Halloween sticks with while they take xrays. They know you are having fun and wheel you into another room where you are thrown onto a table that rolls you into a slightly friendlier MRI device, where again you must lay still while they take MORE pics.
So they cut into me on Tuesday and I have zero fear. I will be staying overnight and when I get home I have at least two weeks off of work.
My worry is this: EPS feels that as my best friend she must take me to my operation and wait while they do it (an hour and a half) NOT counting recovery.
The problem is she is very sick. I appriciate her wanting to be there for me during this, but again, she is sick, and I just assume she use her day off to rest in bed. I mean, I'd LOVE to have her with me, but I worry because she is so sick. If she were to stay home, I can still get a ride to and fro, and would not think less of her. She owes me nothing except for hot oral sex.

Damn, Al! I gotta tell you, I'd be screaming!
I'll keep a candle lit, and send good hopes your way on Tuesday.
EPS, you are a compassionate, and wonderful friend, but Al's right...if you're sick, you should take care of you. Wearing yourself out taking care of someone else will only make you sicker, and then you won't be able to help when Al -really- needs it.
The man says he has transportation. Trust him, and take care of yourself.
*hugs* to both of you.

I took a break from trying to bust you guys' balls and went for a 20 km seaside bike ride, ended up diving in the Atlantic and am now salty, sweaty, smelling of feromones and sea and back to bust your nuts once again.
I'm getting a decent tan and should look morroccan in a couple more days.
Tonight I'm going to Coimbra for the freshmen baptisms (Coimbra has one of the oldest universities in the world and at this time of the year we always try to beat Munchens Oktoberfest in beer drinking (we actually beat them a couple of times).
I'm gonna do my share, so people don't think I'm not patriotic. Come and eat and drink 'till you puke for your country.

Damn, Al. I thought I had fun in the hospital!
I hope the surgery goes well, luv.
EPS, stay home! No wonder you're always sick, if you spend all your time caring for other people!
GBW, we miss you here. Why are you gone so much?
Mael, have fun tonight.

you need to drink gatorade before you go to bed.
or powerade. one of those liter bottles. just chug it right the fuck down before bed and then crash. even better if you take a vitamin caplet along with it.

Wouldn't drinking a whole mess of Gatorade make him have to piss like a racehorse? And given that he is more than likely stoned, and too tired to get up and drain the vein, won't this lead to him pissing the b-....
Ah....AHHHH! AHA!
Yes yes Mael, before you pass out drink two bottles of Gatorade, and instead of vitamins, take about three or four laxatives. They uh...they like absorb the hangover toxins and send them to hell and stuff. Because of this there is no risk of you shitting yourself because the laxatives will be fighting the hangover toxins and this slows the bowels down.
So uh...take four laxatives and wash them down with two gatorades and a bottle of Fleet if you can find it.
:snicker:

Thank God I wans't drinking or smoking when I read Al's post. Brilliant. It reminded me of a sketch I saw once in some comedy show Down Under.
"Here at Chenille's we have the best method for losing weight: 15kg in two weeks  .
We combined the israely army diet and training programme, sprinkled it with lotsa laxatives and induced vomiting and we have a success story.
Ever notice how bad it stinks when you use the toilet the next day?
Somebody open a window. If I set fire to dead goats it will smell better. Damn, NYC and its Hudson river smell like Chanel nš5 by comparison, I'll bet. :?
Anybody remember the guy in Trainspotting who soils himself in bed? The family breakfast scene?

Fuck yeah! That was brilliant! Spud, it was... Amazing that he managed to pull such a hot (and young!) bird.
Did the hangover-thing yesterday myself. I know a guy who swears by chocolate milk as a cure before going to bed, but I dunno... I fixed mine with a quick succession of joints in the morning, that's what usually saves my ass.
And, oh! On the way home from the club Saturday, I saw a motherfucking COMET! No shit! Pretty sure it was a comet, cuz it had this looong tail and travelled real fast across the sky. It wasn't no pansy-ass shooting star, that's for sure, it showed up real clear. Unfortunately, none of my friends saw it! Here's me, reeling along, looking at the stars when all of a sudden this thing whizzes by, and I'm like: "Look up! Fuck! I just saw a comet!" On my knees in the road, totally flabbergasted, and no-one else saw it. Typical...

I don't get hangovers, no matter how drunk I get.
One time, long before we were married, I got completely plastered at one of the shows my husband's band did. I'd had 2 shots of Crown, 3 coronas(ick), 1 1/2 Mai Tias and a couple huge swigs of tequila. Mix that all together, shake it up real good and let it sit for an hour or so. Makes for an entertaining ride home. The vomit went from one side of the care to the other on the outside!! Plus some of it flew back in and splashed on my husband's drums. But I didn't have a hang-over the next day. I was dubbed the 'Hurl Queen' for a little while after that. :x
Good times.
