Haha. Can't say that I -love- it, but the couple of games for gameboy that my friend left here awhile back definately are entertaining enough to waste some time, haha.

You know what I hate?
The last pokemon is GOD!
The 493th pokemon is Arseus, and he has always existed, and he created two pokemons: the pokemons of Time and Space.
He also might have, but it's not for certain (because in that fictional universe there's also speculation from pixel scientists), created the pokemon of Death.
God is a pokemon.
You can catch God.
And yet nothing happens when you throw a pokeball at a human or a tree.
WTF?

I've been desperatly trying to stop myself purchasing the latest pokemon game.
But God. In a Pokeball. Damnit, now I want the game!.
And I think many people still covertly love pokemon, although I don't know anyone who really loved the cartoons.
And my brother still collects pokemon cards, but he's 9 so I can forgive him for that, seen as he also loves playing the games

I still love the games, probably more than what I did when I was 11. I am saving up to buy the new system and game for the Diamond and pearl versions. I am currently playing Emerald and the 3rd generation. It is still pretty fun, with much stuff to do.

I have only played Red, and I adoooooore it. With six o's. It's such a simple premise, as are all the best games.
The shameless marketing attached to it is horrendous, however. I wen to see whichever Pokemon movie was first played in Britain with my little sister, who was very young and hyper-fangirly at the time. I want those minutes of my life back.

I still would play the games if I could find my gameboy, but the show sucked, and always did.

Me too.........the films are some of the worst animation (or even film in general) to grace the screen.
Asking which pokemon movie is the best is a bit like asking which method of tourture you prefer having done on you.
And I reckon they Should make a Grand Theft Pokemon game. Who wouldn't take the opportunity to shotgun a pikachu?

Apparently islam finds them satanic.
Everyone play pokemon!
I might buy the latest one if I can.
I enjoyed emerald (even though I played a ROM version on my pc with various cheatcodes to make rayquaza my starter pokemon).
The first one I played was pokemon silver about two years ago.
I agree it is childish in parts but its addictive as hell.

I liked some of the movies, but I wasn't big on the show.
I never played the GameBoy games, but I dueled with my cards.

I played the games and watched the show because it was popular. Even so, I never liked it. Then again, when it was popular, I was eight and immature.

=/ I'm afraid I never jumped on the pokemon bandwagon... mostly because I didn't own a gameboy when it was most popular. I've seen bits of it from other games though, such as in Super Smash Bros. Melee. That Mewtwo cat is actually rather cool...
And as for the last pokemon essentially being God... well, it's obvious they just keep making more and more powerful pokemon as they go along. They just needed something to beat what they made before.

Yes, the show and the movies suck. The show is mainly what gives pokemon a childish reputation. As for me, I enjoyed the show when I was little, but I do have the cards. I still enjoy the games, and I have played since old-school red and blue. But I did not get a gameboy until I was 12....

I used to watch the show when I was younger, but now it's gotten boring and TOO long. I still enjoy the games. I have played and beaten Red, Yellow, Gold, and Crystal. I'm still playing LeafGreeen and Emerald. I'm saving for a DS so I can get Diamond and Pearl.
I agree that the show is what causes Pokemon to get bashed by so many people, but the manga makes up for it ( It's pretty dark compared to the show and is what the games are based off of).

I tried really hard to not buy the newest games; but after I heard that one of the starters was a penguin I caved. Those workers at Nintendo and Game Freak sure know how to keep customers returning.

I had the cards, movies, tapes of episodes of the show, toys, stuffed animals, shirts, hats, etc. etc.
I was obsessed at the time.
But now all that stuff is gone.

I'm a longtime Poke-fan. I own most of the games: Blue, Red, Gold, Silver, Ruby, Emerald, FireRed, and Pearl; my best friend, who is also a Pokenerd, has Sapphire, LeafGreen and Diamond. I have never completed a Pokedex in any other game, but I'm coming close in Pearl. Yay me. I haven't caught Arceus/God yet, though.
I read the few issues of the manga when I was younger, but I haven't read any since then.
I still watch the show. It's childish, but I like it because it's funny and campy sometimes. One of the villains is gay, you know. (James: "Despite what everyone says, I am not a piece of fruit!")

Poke'mon are kinda scary, they always seem to be happy unless your trying to catch them. But when you do they submit in a snap. I used to have every poke'mon card during the 151 mark. But then I told my mother that poke'mon meant "Pocket Monsters" after watching Digimon for the frist time. She went crazy and told me to get rid of them all, this was during the christian television against pokemon thing frist gotten started. My grandmother hid most of poke'mon objects my mother didn't throw away already. But it really did no good as i never saw them again. The show did ruon it for me. It's rather repetitive and has no goal other then becoming a pokemon master which I really don't understand what it would take to become a master other then becoming a gym leader or something of that field.
