Song: "If I Only Were A Goth"
LMAO!!! Anyone heard this before?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7fRrtcyzD4
LYRICS:
Quote:
I'd be thinner, I'd be taller
Go clubbing in my collar
With skin pale as a moth
Dressed in black, I'd go creepin'
While the normal folk are sleepin'
If I only were a Goth
With my hair up, I'd look fancy
Like Siouxsie and the Banshees
With silk or velvet cloth
Dressed in boots, never sandals
And the room would be lit with candles
If I only were a Goth
Yes I'd wanna die
From the bottom of my heart impure
Would I like another clove? Well, sure
And after that, we'll go listen to The Cure
I'd pretend to be a vampire
Like in stories 'round the campfire
I'd suck your bloody froth
Yes the thing I'd be best at
Is impersonating Lestat
If I only were a Goth
In my casket purse I'm toutin'
Einsturzende Neubauten
And pagan hymns to Thoth
Yes the world would be depressing
Over death I'd be obsessing
And this corpse that I'm undressing
Would be sexier, I'm guessing
With my diet I'd get scurvy
And I'd worship Peter Murphy
If I only were a Goth

XD! That is excellent!
I can't remember the band...but they did a song called "I am Gothic"...
and the chorus goes...
"I am Gothic, I am pale, I am scary and i'm insane. I'm a loner, I am cold, I feel special when people don't call."

I just don't like them. Their singer... has a near pop-punk vocal style that I despise.

Reminded me a little of Voltaire, actually. Very nice.

That song actually gets wrongly credited to Voltaire many times.
Some time ago, there was a thread talking badly about Voltaire*, and I said that how could someone hate the guy that wrote *insert Thoushaltnot lyrics*
Afterwards I apologized for the mistake but said that Voltaire owns no less.
*(there's some food-for-thought for those people that believe Gnet used to be somehow better or superior in the past)

Meh, I'll get around to listening to more of their songs, eventually. That's when I might name one. It was a funny song, but... didn't exactly inspire me to rush around looking for more, y'know?
For now, I'm contented with listening to SDC.

"True Love." It's my very favorite song.
Do you like the music/lyrics/whatever otherwise and just hate the vocals?

I played the video in the first post for my coworkers and they said they could not get it out of their heads afterwards, and were heard humming the song. These are casuals who wear polo shirts, very conservative guys.
