That's the only time in my life I've felt as though someone recognizes that I'm not evil because I were "too much" black. I am a writer.

If everything on the literature forum seems like a masterpiece to you, then to each his own). Plus, just think of some of your favorite living writers, artists, and intellectuals- they all probably lived through the 80's, but the majority of them likely aren't goth.

I fully agree with this. But I would also like to say that, in mind, a lot of the authors I love seem very gothically inclined. Not that they ever where, it just seems they are more dark and have the same ideas and acceptances [of death and life] as goths.-Memento Mori

Why don't you just go date **** the cheerleading team if that's how you feel about the blackness that is our gothic darkness? Go sit over at the jock table and fling spotted dick onto our black-eyed peas and blood pudding. Then we’ll all cast shitty spells on you and then you’ll totally lose yore hair during swim class like that one girl in that movie about our lives.
Goths are the most creative people there are, but it’s an antiquated notion that we are people. We’re more like gods, myself in particular. We can control you if we want, but we just don’t feel like it. I mean, we don’t think you’re worth it. Actually, Knocked Saucier is only a Third Level Wonder Wizard, so that’s pretty much free game for your well placed jabs and poorly placed taunts.
I write poetry, screenplays, novels about vampires who all have the same names as my friends, direct movies, paint intricate murals with spray paint at night, write breathtaking epics on short-grained rice without a microscope, and cook divine icons into soft tortillas, and I send them all into contests and they always win first place. I mean zeroeth place, they’re so good.

In Soviet Russia Goth loves you!
Yeah, yeah. Cliche remark. Just felt like saying something.

I believe that goths are, averagely, more artistically and intellectually inclined than not. At least, on this forum they are, anyway. I've the data to support it (link).
In any case, I myself love to write and draw, although I am by no means a professional at either. My trade is game design, but I say a lot of thought, artistic and mathematical, go into that.

These 'Soviet Russia' statments have grown rather stale.

Where exactly is the logic in that statement? If I express an opinion of over-usage, what makes you think me using it would change my opinion?

Well what about the punks? I'm 90% punk, 10% goth. Not all punks are stupid football holligans who beat people up. Darby Crash had an IQ of 185! I write war novels and music for my band. What I'm trying to say is that all subcultures have their smart people and their dumb people.

I'm an artist and I write stories and a few poems. I only sketch and I might paint, but I'm nowhere near that level yet. I'm a surrealist type of artist and it was that surrealism in gothic art that partially drew me into the subculture.
About the whole 'goths are better artists, writers, poets etc.' isn't always true as I'm the only goth/punk in my art class and everyone else makes my drawings look like crap.
P.S. I have a cat too *giggles*.
