Crocs, the plastic clog!
Oi oi.
I will confess, there isn't really much point in this topic other than to observe what people think of this rather strange hit piece of footwear...
...The Croc.
As I understand it now, no actual crocodiles or indeed alligators are used in the creation of Crocs. There is no big machine they feed them into head first I am pleased to say.
Unless it's a limited edition, then they use them to help make the colour.
But yes. Plastic clogs, personally I think they are rather ugly things to be frank. However I do hear they are as comfortable as a well fitting pair of Doc Martens with all the advantages of being a... Plastic... Clog.
At my place of work (or rather, ex-place of work) there is even the cheap rip-off brand.
Like how you can get 'Converses' for 10 quid.
Personally, I'll stick with my Doc Martens thankyou very much.
But what does everyone else think of these strange pieces of footwear?
Harking back to the Golden Age of Live and Kicking, I wish to steal the scoring system...
Hit.
Miss.
Or maybe.
Thankyou for reading.

Crocs are repulsive..
Especially when 40+ year old men wear bright orange ones to church.

I'd love to get a pair to slip on and off when taking out the trash. They'd be good for something like that.

I own plenty of comfortable shoes that don't involve visual assault.

I personally think they're the ugliest motherf*cking things I have ever seen, but that is my opinion. Maybe it's just because the people I see wearing them choose bright obnoxious colors that don't even come close to matching what they're wearing. Sorry people...orange tank tops, yellow bike shorts, and teal socks do NOT go with purple/orange crocs. Ever. Nor is it acceptable to wear them with a 3 piece suit...

ROFL, I nearly died reading the first sentence. The replies are like "Ho Hum, they aren't so bad" and then you get to this one.
Anyway, took the words out of my mouth. Goddamn, they're ugly. I can't believe I have the ability to actually despise footwear. Yeah, I'll stick to the docs as well.

I laughed so hard, I nearly fell under my desk. XD But seriously, not only are Crocs incredibly repulsive, but they're also said to be bad for your health. I read an article written by a physician, who said they can damage your feet. I mean, come on, those things are made entirely of plastic. How fucking good can that be?

They're not plastic. They're actually an antimicrobial foam of some sort or another. The only reason I know this is because my ex-wife is the regional manager of the Crocs stores in our county. I even have a pair. Only because she gave them to me. They're uglier than sin beaten with a stick, but they're so damned comfortable I can't bear to throw them away. So I use them as my kitchen shoes and when I go out late at night to take the trash out.

I fucking hate those plastic puke coloured, retard slippers.
I'm actually quite amused that they get peoples feet caught in escalators. Serves them right for being so fashionably-declined. They don't deserve feet.
I actually had to give a police report, because I witnessed a crime, and no word of a lie, the one thing I remembered most vividly about the person in question, was a hot pink pair of pukeyloafers,

God...I hate those shoes.
They're disgusting. My sister bought a pair of teal ones and the first thing I said to her was...WHY!!?
You see whole families wearing them..it's terrible.

I work in a hospital and most of the nurses and doctors (I work in the IT-dept) use these kind of clogs. They look absolutely horrendous in they cheerful colors, and from what I have heard, many people wear them just because they are "the cool thing" right now amongst docs and nurses, not because they are more comfortable than the white clogs that hospital personel gets issued.
In the local cafeteria they even sell decorations for said footwear. It's small lizards and cute animals that attached into the holes in the Crocs. I mean... Seriously... Wtf.
There is no way I can take a nurse wearing bright orange Croks with kitten-decorations seriously. Maintain some kind of standard please!
As for me, it's either my black übercomfy sandals or my 5.11 tactical boots (depending on where I am for the day and what I do).

Why are they allowed to wear shoes with holes in in hospitals!?
What if they drop a syringe or another sharp implement on their foot!? isn't that kind of dangerous!?

They have ones that don't have holes in the top and now they actually have some tasteful looking ones. They are the ballerina flats.
But if it wasn't for the fact that ballerina flats have been fashionably ***** already, I might actually spend some of my own money on them.

Haha! Retard slippers!
I have to say, I think they are repulsive.
I'm 100% for the docs. I just bought some lovelys!
I'm sure there are comfortable shoes less offensive to the eye than crocs.
