You can kill me if you want to.

I am n00000000

I can't remember whether I had created a thread initially or not, as its been a while since I joined.

My name is Rachel. I am an English major here in boring as fuck Connecticut.
Though I'm transferring to CUNY hopefully within the next year because I am fucking 24 and I've always wanted to live/go to school in NYC, so I'm just going to do it. I've been in school for six years and I figure I'll have more motivation to get shit done down there.

I want to be an English professor when I'm old. Though I suppose it would be kind of hot to be a young English professor, though I'm not sure I could handle all the potential strain and stress of a Phd just yet.

I have eleven rats. I like trip-hop, progressive metal, industrial and some synth pop.

I've dyed my hair eleven different colors. I just got through with bright blue and now I'm just rockin the platinum blonde/pitch black combo.

I'm obsessed with classical literature (especially the romantic and progressive periods) I'm also a History minor, and my other aspiration is to become an antiquarian.

I'm not sure what else to say? I need friends. I've been without for too long.

I like waffles.

my favorites are hard to determine, because I love almost all historical periods.
Though I am drawn most to Victorian America, pre-reformed England (self flagellation days, Black Plague and all that), and any sort of Ancient History, as long as it isn't made up.

also, here is my myspace link: http://www.myspace.com/darkbird

What's better than a fatal case of swollen armpits? I love the 'boy, everything sure sucks now' period of European history. For all the worshiping and converting and crusading the Europeans did during the Dark Ages, God sure seemed to have it in for them.

haha. I'm not quite sure what intrigues me so much about that era. The anorexic saint stories, sleeping on beds of nails and whatnot.
It almost seems unreal, as if someone made it up.

also, I was wondering, why are they still revered and considered as saints when nowadays that would put you on 24hour watch in a mental institution?

I mean, they were the best of the best. I guess society is just FAIL now. We're all doomed to hell because of our psychology.

Stuff like Portishead, Massive Attack, and DJ Spooky... with some influence on bands like Collide, Diva Destruction, Switchblade Symphony, etc. Not really regarded as legit as it actually is, but mostly because it became a huge trend a while back and attracted a lot of people who made everyone cringe.

Yeah, people who were wont to get killed by pretty much any aspect of their world and who thought baths were for fancy-pantses seemed to have a pretty different perspective on what constitutes holiness. I wish I could be revered for centuries to come for wandering around the countryside in rags and bleeding lashes on my back, but maybe I'm not thinking this through wholly.

Waffles are indeed one of the simple pleasures in life, especially when they have blueberries in them. Pleased to meet you.

oh. I forgot to do this. I am teh dumb.

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I sew (mostly patchwork) purses and tarot bags, I knit, I read, I write and I draw comics.
I work at a Cafe in a bookstore.

2. Where are you from?
New England. Moving to NYC soon. (any NYC people here?)

3. Who is your favorite author?
toss up between Neil Gaiman and Stephen King. I refuse to choose.

4. What are your favorite films? May and most fantasy movies.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
something classical. like. Beethoven's 5th!

6. At your funeral?
no music please.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
I want to be drunk, and I want to drown. In the Ocean.
Then I want to be buried during the winter and have my funeral be complete with falling snow. I think it'd be really beautiful to be buried underneath the snow.
Either that or I just want to be cremated.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
Um I have no idea actually. nothing special. lol like it matters!

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
my old worn in black hoodie with my old worn in jeans. for dressing up, I hate wearing the same thing, so I don't really have a favorite outfit. I have to wear different things all the time. though I do love wearing my New Rocks all the time. heh.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Summer vacation. Christmas vacation. february vacation. Easter vacation.
I haven't had a vacation in years.

11. What's your favorite band?

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
eh I already answered that. I've been in school or a while...

13. Why did you join?
To meet new people, make some friends.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
asexual android.
