What's the best At-home hair dye?

Loreal or nice'n'easy? I just don't want to put something on my hair that'll damage it and I need something that I can use every 8 weeks or so. Any advice?

nice n easy. this stuff will not fade out, period. Not an option. I dyed my hair copper red with it (in reddish blonde, way brighter than the name makes it sound) a week ago today and it hasn't faded AT ALL. And red fades fast. Once I dyed my hair red with garnier and it dulled down within a week.

I used to use Schwartzkopf LIVE color.

I only ever used blue black and red black.

It's the best I've ever found for really vibrant color.

Oh, yeah. I knew it had to be either loreal kind or nice'n easy.
Tell me how your color is in 2 weeks?
What is the best shampoo and conditioner to use for color treated hair? To keep the color bright and rich for a long time.

Thanks.
Did I read on here that people don't like it when you quot them, or was that just me? Along with all the other "robotic" like rules.

Quoting happens all the time around here... quote away. It can make things a lot clearer. Just don't misquote and you'll be fine.

Clairol nice n easy will not fade at all. I haven't dyed it in about 3 months and it's still pitch black. Not fun if like me you end up getting bored with it.

I just dyed my hair black a couple of days ago and I used Clairol with no ammonia. For the first dye, it's best to use something kind and gentle, even if it will fade quickly. You know, get your hair used to the dying process and such.
