Sorry, but if that's predictable then so be it. I would rather it be that way, than have to guess what you REALLY think behind what you say.

Notice how I am avoiding everything else you say. This is because I don't appreciate you revealing things about me that were very very private. Thanks buddy.

Sorry to not keep you updated on the latest going ons of my day to day thoughts and such. I assure you, the comments I've made thus far are of my own reasoning and thought and has little to do with what others have said here. Going back, I haven't seen anywhere in the thread where I stated that you were delusional or crazy. I still think you are quite sane. But some things I've been thinking about today and the past few days of a spiritual nature have produced the words I'm speaking now. They are, a product of my own mind, not theirs.

In a nutshell, I REALLY think you are what you say you are. But my logic also tells me to be a skeptic of things.

Alas, if I've wronged you in any way, I'm sorry.

I meant you didn't need to reveal things about me that I have told you in private. Those were for you to know, not everyone.

What did I reveal that was so secret? I'm confused.

I have no problem with people who enjoy vampires in fiction, literature and the like. I don't even mind people wearing fangs and enjoying the aesthetic. Everyone has a quirky little obsession with something.

Actually BELIEVING you're a vampire is a whole other matter. It's dangerous, especially with all the blood bourne diseases that are around. Someone like that could genuinely hurt someone else and it has happened.

*expresses general agreement*
If a person has convinced him/herself that they're a vampire, *waves hands horizontally* they're... something. Their imagination is far too active.

Dressing up and "Let's pretend"ing is fine. People do that with things other than vampires.

Haha. Indeed, indeed. Hence the "*expressing general agreement*" thing.

People being gullible victims of themselves.

In the end, it doesn't really matter. I don't see anything wrong with being delusional. If it makes you happy, and they aren't hurting anyone, they can believe that they are immortal or can fly all they want. If that's what makes them enjoy the general living, then really...why not?

I remember there was a book called "Thicker than Water" in the library that I read....it was about this girl that went to a vampire club and went cuckoo about this guy that was "the ultimate vamp"....and so that is why she ended up cutting herself up to make him drink her.....

Indeed, it was very resourceful....

I would like to know the title of the book that GC is talking about.

I think that people can convince themselves of pretty much anything. Many extroverts need to be around other people to feel motivated and energetic - take this one step further and you have "psychic vampirism." I think that whatever people think is real is real - to them. But there is still an objective world out there, and there is a point where you can become so open minded that your brains fall out.

That said - I recently realized that I am host to the reincarnated soul of Grover Cleaveland. Don't question my reality. I'm a bit touchy about the whole situation.

Were you refering to these ones? "Psychic Vampire Codex: A Manual of Magick and Energy Work by ******** A. Belanger" or "The Ethical Psychic Vampire by Raven Kaldera".

Anyways, this is quite an interesting thread and not to mention the intensity of the debates.

I have gone to "Vampire Balls" or "Vampire Masqurades" parties only because I was invited to due to the host's knowledge of my fashion/costume designing. At these parties, it was fun to experience such a fantasy world of vampires dressed in the old Victorian era. I found the energy was unique and the fashion concepts were very rich with the 17th, 18th, and 19th century styles of clothing. On my part, it was for fun and not an obsession.

Anyone can have a fasination with vampires, whether it's from books, movies, music, RP, art, spiritualisim and fashion. Fantasy vampires vs. Reality vampires are always gonna have conflicting issues regardless of the understanding of us all and how we take it upon ourselves or the choices we make.
Some people do it for fun as a way of expressing their interest in vampires in a fantasy way.
Some do it because they may truly have a mental illness and go WAY OVERBOARD with it. Those bugger are the ones that need help for sure.

My ex-common law has a high interest in vampires as she enjoys the books, movies and fashion as well. Sometime she even gets into researching on history of vampirism like Vlad Tepes and Bathory. I know she has no intention of saying "I'm a vampire and I want drink your blood" or performing such acts either. It's just simply an interest for her. I have had my quarrels with her about Goth being based on vampirism, I totally disagreed with her (and still do) and I've tried explaining that Goth is a subculture and not about vampirism. it's her world, not mine and my daughter agrees with me.

I'm not defending anybody or anything here, I just though of sharing my opinion in this thread.

The book is called The Psychic vampire codex. Though the book is a bit biased, it's not a bad read. There are other books if you are interested.

I took a peek at that book and some parts of it were interesting.

Hmmm I don't why in my recent posting it wouldn't show the author's name. I didn't think it was such a bad name to list.
