I'd love to get boots from there. o_o
It's expensive, though. even the 'sale' boots are over 120 dollars. ><
EDIT: Oh, wait. just kidding.
Maybe I will get some here :3

Madfish boots are great and suitable for vegans. I’m not sure of you can get them outside the UK though.

My boots have a Steel Heel, beat that. and man... for boot, like everyone said before, demonias suck, if you buy something make sure it is well made, good fabric, good stitching, and just because a price tag is big, doesn't make it unreasonable. I don't know what you have to work with but New Rock boots, on their "low" end of the price range, which is about 240 american, are still pretty good looking, something like THIS pair.
But yeah, best of luck finding what you need.

You can get some high TUKs for about that price, although make sure you get the ones made in England. The ones made in China are slightly better than Demonia.
Military boots can be a gamble. You might get a good pair for $65, but I've found that for the most part unless you're getting them from someone who just got out of the military, you'll probably get a couple years at best. Just my personal experience, others may vary.

I bought a pair of TUK boots, which I loved, but after wearing them every day for about 7-8 months, the soles started to peel away. Cost me 85 quid as well, so I bought a 30 quid pair of t boots, which, although they lack steel toes, have lasted as long as the TUK boots with very little damage to show

Normally I buy expensive boots that actually last more than four wears. But I did find a pair of calf length buckled pointy boots for £30 which lasted just as long as the expensive ones.

The trick to long lasting boots is first to buy something of quality, and then to TAKE CARE OF THEM. Polish them regularly, and if the sole or the heel or anything starts to fuck up take them to a cobbler to have them fixed ASAP. Minor repairs will cost you next to nothing and can increase the lifespan of your boots by decades.
I bought a pair of Italian leather boots in Verona for 80 euros 8 months ago and worn them almost every single day since then. I've walked through snow, sand and mud in them, and they're still perfect because I've put the effort in to keep them that way. They're also the cheapest boots I own.
I still want a pair of New Rocks though >_>. They're just too cool not to drool over.

Was it their Anarchic line? I had a friend that this happened too as well. I have a pair of their old-fashioned, Doc Marten's looking boots, and they haven't given me any trouble at all. I did make sure to check the tag to make sure the boots were made in the UK though.
Unfortunately, with so many boot manufacturers outsourcing to China, you really have to be careful these days.

I have no idea if you can manage to get them where you live but roc boots are awesome. My pair is seriously the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned.

I've got Madfish Silver Flames, and they do the job for me, they look cool, and they're comfy. They were £80, £, not $, so don't go thinking you can get them for $80, though it may be possible.
EDIT: I have no idea why the site is called Kinky Angel, but the boots are unisex, not female. Considering that I am male, it's a good thing, too.

I have a pair from aldo that was in the super ultra clearence section...I've hade them for two years and they still look new. I guess they were so cheap because they looked too...gothy....for their other custumers.

Yeah, I bought mine from a shop called Nefaria in Wolverhampton. They've probably grossly overcharged me.

I don't care if TUK is kind-of-low quality. I gave up on the Docs, on account of being poor. xD

I can tell you this from experience, whatever you do, DO NOT get a pair of cheap, poor quality boots - NO MATTER HOW COOL THEY LOOK!!! You'll find that you live in your boots and the last thing you need when you're walking about Camden or NOLA (or anywhere else) is sore feet in cracked leaky boots. Go to army surplus and hunt down some Beatle Baily's or come up with the extra $$$ and get something that will last and that you can count on. When I first came into the blackpack, it was made very clear to me that I needed sensible footwear, a good coat and a hat that didn't leak. They loved me and were too right.
Cheers.

Oh yes, and don't forget insoles. You can make a pair of Redwings feel like Docs with those things.
