I wish I wasn't an insomniac, but didn't sleep forever or die in my sleep or die in my waking moments either and it was impossible for anything even remotely bad could happen to me.

Granted - the room is so dark that you can't see anything at all, so you start to panick and while trying to find a way out you bash into a wall and knock yourself into a coma.

Granted, but just as he arrives home you get called away to an emergency and have to stay out until late, by the time you get back home he's gone to sleep.

I wish furniture removal companies didn't charge so much.

Granted, they now throw your stuff out through the window without a care instead of handling your furniture carefully. They transport your furniture by tying them all behind a garbage truck that drives through the whole city, dragging your stuff all the way.

I wish I was better at Statistics so I wouldn't have to wrack my brain over it.

I wish all my essays were completed to a high standard and submitted according to university regulation so that I didn't have to worry about them any more.

Granted. However, you do not posess such degree of knowledgement, and therefore, you fail all your exams. This makes the teachers suspicious, and they come to the conclusion that you have copied somebody else's work. They involve you in a lot of complicated law processes for copyright infrinctions, and kick you out of University, by the way.

I wish I could speak, read, write and understand German perfectly.

Granted. You play so perfectly you fall in love with your own playing skills and begin spiraling into musical madness, secluding yourself in your room, tearing them apart. You emerge from your room, scraggly and smelly from months without bathing, to find your home in absolute disarray, but playing the flute perfectly.

I wish I could eat like a horse and still be as fit as a cheetah.
