Pushing Daisies

Has anyone else seen this show?

I've seen most f the episodes so far. (I missed the second one because I had to go up to LA to pay a fine, and since I was taking public transportation both ways, by the time I got home it was over. ) I think it's pretty good, so far. I bit on the cheesy side, but at the same time quite charming. Kinda like a sappy Tim Burton prduction. I find it an funny twist on what most would consider cliche. In most cliche shows, you have the main character and his love interest, but they can't be together because if they are, he'll lose his job, or something. But in this case, they can't be together, but if they touch, she will die.

For those of you who haven't seen the show, the main character has a special power. He can bring dead things back to life by touching them. But the way it works is that he can only bring them back for one minute. Longer than that, and something of similar size in the area will die. And if he touches who or whatever he brought back again, they die. And they can't be brought back again.

That's the basic premise of the show, but there's much more to it. I find it highly enjoyable. What about you?

I saw the first episode, and I thought it was pretty cute. I liked the narrations.

I thought the story was well done, too.

Plus, there's lots of pies, and who doesn't like that?

I quite liked it, though I missed the last episode. I'll be watching this week. TV is so horrible these days, I was glad to see a show like this pop up.

It's a cute little show. I missed the first two episodes but caught the second and found myself drawn in.

I thought it was cute and very Time Burton-y. It's meant to be silly, and it's fun to watch.

I really like it. Like you said, it's very Burton-esque, as if he suddenly decided to do a TV series instead of movies.

I hope that TV shows are going to try for the different and unusual again; I'm tired of sitcoms about slightly dysfunctional families and kooky neighbors.
