I noticed that this thread has begun to move toward the idea of sexuality determining people that make good partners for love... Perhaps I'm being too literal here, but I'd think that sexuality is more about what causes sexual arousal. Thus, I think it's entirely reasonable for people to consider themselves straight, bi, or gay based on 'in the pants parts.' If a guy finds himself attracted or even in love with another guy, but not sexually aroused by him, then I wouldn't think he is homosexual - he's just in love with a guy. Maybe I'm way off in the common parlance here, but hey, it wouldn't be the first time.

Can we move on? Let's sum it up: Not all Asians are obsessed with school and grades. I'm not. Sure, I'd rather get an A than a B, and I probably get more A's than the average high school student. I work hard at it, but I'm not going to break down and cry when I get a horrible grade. I just got a 65% today in Pre-Calculus (I hate that class).

As for Darkprayer, clumping all Asians into the same category of being overachievers and being "racist against Asians" is completely unfair. We don't not understand "intelligence isn't about getting good grades", but good grades aren't going to hurt. You don't seem to understand--this is our culture. This is how most of us are brought up to think, to do well in school, just like how Christian families raise their children to believe in God and go to church. I'm not saying it's necessarily a good thing; I often think Asian parents put far too much pressure on their kids to do well academically..it's because of this constant pushing that drives most of us to try so hard. To be racist against us for the reasons you gave seems stupid and immature to me; all it proves is that you don't know enough about the other party to make a fair judgment about how we choose to live our lives.
