frienship and lies
My friend I trust her alot she knows quite alot about me and even some of my deepest secrets. At my school the general attitude towards people who are shy, gay, bi or different are very harsh even to the state were they'll shun you and treat you like dirt.
This friend made a rumour told it to this girl who is one of the most popular and influentual people at my school, saying that I had this big mega lesbian crush on her. Of course this girl believed her.
The next day at school everyone was treating me like I had a disease, people barely talked to me, they whispered behind my back. I felt really bad, I'm very, very shy, I barely have the guts to talk to them and I'd actually managed to come out of my shell pretty much and I felt safe untill this happened.
I asked my friend what was going on, what people were saying and she said "oh theres this dumb rumour going around saying you love Kat... don't worry I know its not true and you have pete and I"
my other friend peter told me she'd started the rumour and I said to him "hey maybe she didn't mean it." but a few weeks later it turns out she'd started it as a joke.
I have to put up with alot from her to begin with, I get slapped, pushed off chairs and treated only a little bit better than what others do.
this isn't the first time someones started a rumour about me that i was friends with. I felt like i could trust again, but it turns out i was wrong.
my mate peter keeps on telling me its not big deal, I am bi but I don't want to be beaten up and be treated sub- human.
i don't know what to do.

Sounds to me like your friend either is in love with you and wants you all to herself and is trying to make that happen by making everyone around you hate you, or she is envious of you and is telling lies on you so she will look better in everyone's eyes.
Whatever the case, you need to stand up for yourself. Letting youself be pushed around will get you nothing but heartache and misery. This is something I know firsthand. Let this so-called "friend" know that you are not some dog to be kicked around. Once you start standing up for yourself things will become better for you. Don't let her get to you. Be proud of who you are.

^ Good advice. If you're not a naturally shy/reclusive person.

I have a friend that treats me pretty crappy, too. Just the other day I decided that if she couldn't accept my religious views/opinions and was going to constantly look for reasons to fight me, then I don't need her. I plan to just quit talking to her. Perhaps you may wish to do the same.

If they're that bad, pull her into you and make it look like she's forcing a kiss onto you when people are walking past then push her away and go "OH MY FUCKING GOD WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU SICKO?!" and then walk away with an air of victory.

the thing is though I go to a really small school, people are close minded and I'm as shy as hell. my other two friends who knew about her starting the rumour say I should still be friends with her, and when I said I'm not sure I want to, they called me a bitch.

The thing with rumors is, is that they don't last forever and sooner or later everyone will find something (or someone) else to talk about other than you. It's going to happen. I know it sucks, but it's going to happen.
As for your friend, I would say she isn't a true friend. If she does that kind of stuff to you she is not worth being friends with. Try to come out of your shell a little and try making new friends.

Hey, don't worry about it to much. my other friends all side with the friend I have that screws me over. I know what you mean. You have my sympathy. But, if she's going to treat you in such a way she's not worth it.
