Do you find that kids are almost scared?
When I walk around looking UberGothic.
I find that little kids, sort of.. Look a bit scared, they walk round the other sound of their parents or cross the road..
Anyway, does anyone else find this? Or is it just me.. I guess it is likely as my brother when I first started going goth sorta got scared.. But hes cool about it now.. Hes eight..
Anyway that about it.

Little kids love me. Granted, I will play with them, but even the really little ones LOVE my clothes. Picking at the safety pins on my pants is a favorite, and so is stroking my fishnet shirt.
As for the parents.. most of them are usually won over when they see how much fun the kids have with me.

I looking scared is better then what I get mostly.
One time a group of elementry school kids yelled out "SLUT!" as their bus drove by. They continued this all year. This year though, they've stopped.

I don't normally scare people. BUT, apparently teased up black hair can scare the shit out of just about anyone. I could strike fear in Jesus right now.

I am a woman, and I love little kids. But even then, I let them make the first move. I have had toddlers walk up and start plucking at the safety pins, or the studs on my bracelet. I have also had older kids walk up and either compliment me or say I look weird. One of the times that a child called me weird, we talked about how some people look or dress differently, and that's okay. That same kid later introduced me to her mother and said something like "Mommy, I like Goths. They are nice. Aren't her clothes pretty?"
I can't wait to have kids of my own.

I've never drawn any great reaction out of kids. Mostly they just stare, or ask me what my goggles are for :/

Kids tend to be cautious of me, because of my eyebrows, I think. I have Amanda Palmer eyebrows, and kids know it isn't natural, but they can't understand why, so it scares them, I think.

Honestly, I have no recent pictures of me at all, because the cable for the digital camera was lost for a long time. I'd like to start posting pictures, so I'll see if I can get it together.

Generally little kids tend to love me. Mind you, I am not a kid person, but I will tolerate them. I've had young kids about five or six come up to me and ask if they could see my studded bracelet, or that they like my striped stockings. And a few would ask if they could touch my jacket, fishnet shirt, or crux choker. So I'll let them as long as they don't try and destroy it, which hasn't happened to me yet.
It's basically the older kids around my age I get a lot of shit from, and a few immature adults. Aside from that, though, I tend to get very positive comments.
Especially from old ladies.

When I was in the hospital waiting to have my back X-rayed, an older woman (75-ish) asked me if I bought my jeans, or made them. I told her that I had made them, and she complimented me about 10 times.

The other day a little boy came running up to me and hugged my legs. Truth be told, he scared the shit out of me. Mostly because he seemed to come out of nowhere.

Kids arent scared of me. Most of the time they ignore me. I get the odd kid ask me if I'm goth, that's about it.

Most little kids suround me, though I seem to scare some middle school age homeschool girls, a friend of mine knows. There are a couple of kids that frequent an observatory i go to who like to run around chanting 'evil man' when I arrive. Sorta annoying. I don't think their grandparents like me. Then there are the little kids that are related to another friend of mine that want to, oddly enough, 'fight' me. So we have peusdo-karate matches, that usually end with me with a bloody lip.
Damn, seven year olds can punch. O_o

I was in the park writing last summer, and a bunch of kids--10 or 11 years old, I guess--came up to me and basically quizzed me for half an hour on everything from my fingernails to Satan. Then they asked me to play truth or dare with them. I declined.
Mostly, little kids stare a lot, but more interested than frightened.

I'm a mom, so my son is used to me looking the way I look. In fact, the other day I helped out in my son's 1st grade class and I had little kids hanging on me all day, giving me hugs and wanting me to sit by them during lunch. I think they loved my hair the most, which is black and reddish-pink at the moment.

Yah, kids love my hair. Right now it's a short 20's style with green and blue streaks. Every now and then a kid will get freaked out, but mostly kids just run up and start messing with my clothes or hugging me. I volunteer in a nursery during the summer and the children seem to find me intriguing. It doesn't help that I'm the "lady who reads stories with funny voices." Their parents need a bit more convincing, but they come around when they realize I don't sacrifice live animals to satan.

Of course little kids will be scared, but once they see that we mean no harm, they'll be fine. Little kids are always a bit scared of teenagers goth or not.

I think that I'm more uncomfortable around children then they are around me.
