Bad Attitude
For the past few months, i've been teaching 14-15 year olds Hairdressing on Mondays at a college down the road from my own.
One of my classmates gave up beauty and chose to come down to teach aswell, (we'll call her Claire) unfortunately, she has the bitchiest most condescending, pompous attitude EVER! towards the students. She talks down to them like they're 6. Infact, you don't even talk to 6 year olds like that.
Today was the last straw when she said to one of the students "Can you tell me your massage movements?" and they were written on the wall infront of the student and she nodded at the wall....Claire immediately said...."Alright then, smartarse....can you read!?".
One of the other girls adressed the behaviour and told her not to talk down to them like they're children and Claire got all pompous and said "Well they are children, they're 15"
I know, that if I was 15 and someone spoke like that to me, i'd go nuts. You have to speak to them differently...and most of all, you have to encourage them to learn, not make them feel like shit.
She's always following me and the other girls around, calling us stupid, saying that we're not doing things right. If we're showing a student something she's right there...breathing down our necks, waiting for us to fuck up. Sometimes she even takes the equipment off us and completely takes over. When we're having a quick chat, she comes up to us and demands we stop talking.
As you can tell, i'm fed up of her attitude and i'm so close to talking to our tutor about her behaviour. It's really starting to upset everyone, I was thinking of just telling my tutor some of the things she has said and maybe keep an eye out for it. Rather than diving in and getting her to talk to Claire.
*sigh* I don't know anymore...

Quite frankly I would tell her in no uncertain terms, to fuck off and mind her own business.

As a sixteen year old guy, I can say (and I speak for most if not all of my friends) that very little can make me angry as fast as an adult talking to me like I'm fucking stupid. Kick the bitch in the fucking head and tell her it's from me and all the sixteen year olds in Canada.

My country's already been taken, but perhaps give her a kick for sixteen-year-olds in Western Canada specifically. Make sure to kick her square in the buttocks, with the pointiest boots you can possibly find.
But, on a more serious note, I do think you should give it a slight mention to the tutor if it's interfering with your teaching and the students' learning.

Exactly. If I were you, I would tell your tutor. Or, if you feel inspired, make her life a misery as a hobby. I found that relaxing on some occasions...

You should definitely talk to her about how she addresses the students, although don't get your hopes too high. If she refuses to listen, you need to go over her head. You don't want her behavior affecting attendance in classes you're teaching.

I would tell her stop, and if she doesn't, then talk to your tutor.
I'd be angry myself if somebody was talking down to me, and I'm generally pretty patient, except with my family. (because their always on my case)
