To hell with bacteria, they can live on shit! We need to get back to circle of life, if it dies it's food, full stop.

Roadkill sucks; we should kill it. Run over roadkill and make sure it's dead!

Sickest thing I've ever seen is my cousin (who I refuse to talk to) once hit a rabbit with his car then scooped it up to try to clean it up quickly before "the meat got hard." He used a pair of tree loppers and threw the damned thing in OUR deep freeze! My Mom FLIPPED!

I know you're only kidding, but it's actually not a good idea to eat roadkill, because very often, the bladder is ruptured, which poisons the meat.

I've hit 2 rabbits, a squirrel, a gigantic wild turkey and 2 deer so far (for a total of 4250 points, by my scoring method!)... Sorry everyone for contributing to the roadkill on our roads! I live in the middle of a "forest" (the houses are spaced far apart, with little groves in between connecting everyone's backyards & sideyards), which is surrounded by a "tree city USA", and has farmland on one side, so what do you expect??? I think I should start a scoring system for roadkill.... I have a set of rules I've written for scoring hits, if anyone wants to see them.

Just making sure if you guys know, but I'm almost certain this guy was talking about the short story.

P'shaw! Even if s/he was talking about the short story, the thread has been hijacked to talk about those squirrel guts that you see vultures pick at on the side of the road. 2 posts about the story vs 10 posts about the gory stuff on the side of the road.... 10 wins, even if 1/2 of the story posts was the first post!

I'd LOVE to see the rules and scoring system.

You asked for it...

Type of creature you hit:
Inanimate Objects = -200 points.
People = -100 points.
Bugs don't count.
Rodent/Small Animal (i.e. rabbit, squirrel, frog, etc...) = 1 point
Medium Animal (i.e. dog, wolf, cat, etc...) = 2 points
Small Bird (i.e. robin, sparrow, etc...) = 5 points
Medium Bird (i.e. vulture, crow, sparrow hawk, etc...) = 10 points
Large Bird (i.e. Hawk, Turkey, etc...) = 25 points
Large Animal (i.e. Deer, Bear, Cow, etc...) = 50 points.
Small fish = 1000 points.
Medium fish = 5000 points.
Large fish = 10000 points.

Bonus Modifiers:
2X points if the animal is domesticated
3X if the animal goes airborne or gets caught under both wheels
4X points if they cause major structural damage
10X points if the animal runs into your car, instead of you running into it.
2X if you get 2 kills in 1 trip, 3X if 3 kills, etc...

Scoring System:
((Car's Speed at the point of impact*.2) * (Point Value of animal hit))*(Bonus Modifier a * Bonus Modifier b * etc...) = Value. Add values up from all hits ever to get your total score.

Most Excellent! It's the greatest road trip game ever invented!
