Listen, I love manson. I love everything he says, I love his style, I love his music, and I think he is absolutely brilliant. I will admit, sometimes he does go too far, does push too many buttons, but Eat Me, Drink Me is proof that he isn't catering to his fans in my opinion. Of COURSE you can disagree and disprove me, but that's what I believe. He made an album most of his fans hate. However, the bottom line is this, he is a very smart man, and who's to say what's real anyway? I listen to his music and his thoughts and watch his actions, and I take a lot of inspiration from them. They influence me deeply, and I have great admiration for that freak. Are you going to honestly sit there and tell me THAT isn't real?

Fake? Maybe in some respects, maybe not in others...but whatever he is doing he is doing it very, very well. He has built it up, kept after it, done what he wanted to do and been very successful at doing that, for over a decade and still going. More power to him for that much. Doing what you want to do and being successful at it is about as good as it can get. Obviously a lot of people are entertained by him as well, which is another big issue if you are in the entertainment business.

I think he likes attention. Even from his early start he's gotten a whole lot of attention from Religious activists and the like. Do I think he's fake? No. Trying to hard? Ehh yeah maybe. I love his old stuff. The real nitty gritty crap that gets your blood pumping and the stuff he really means. A friend of mine bought his new cd a while ago and had me listen to it. I did like it at all. I couldn't even get through the first song. He's no longer trying. I know he has a lot in his life now, but I think the Mansonite stage is over.

Manson is going to be playing Lewis Carroll in a film about Carroll's creation of Alice in Wonderland. I think it's coming out next year or the year after. I wonder if that will be an independent arty film or shown in the main theatres. Hmm...

If you mean he's a fake in some of his stage acts then of course he's a "fake", he doesn't eat shit on stage, he eats chocolate molded into the shae of a log of human droppings.

Otherwise I think he's very true, in his music, I can feel raw emotions and so what if he knows how to sell things, you have to know how to sell yourself as an artist or in any career path, that's what a resume is for, selling yourself, but then again you have to draw the fine-line between selling yourself and "selling-out" *coughcoughharrypottercoughcough*

I always thought he was alright. I was in the original small cult circle of NIN fans who knew about him pre-sweet dreams and I really like the new album. I liked how dirty it sounds. It sound like him and Tim Skold got together in some basement somewhere, blew some drugs up there nose, and made a record. I like how he with with Skold to. I remember this cd from 97ish or so he put out on wax trax I think. That shit was really good I thought.

Ah, the good old days.. before the mansonite invasion. The three first albums were great, but the later ones just becomes like all modern music: repetitive and unimaginative.

Eh. I have no love or hate for him, don't think he's 'the real deal' or some kind of 'fake', whatever that's meant to mean.
He knows how to play the media and play his audience. He's intelligent, I'll grant him that, and understands enough about music to create albums that tend to have at least driving dancefloor track on them.
I don't have any of his stuff, but I'll dance to some of it if it's played.
