And most of those deaths are caused not by the actual MDMA but by allergic reactions (which can happen with things other than drugs) and, mainly, being sold bad shit.

just to build on what you said there are many people who have serious problems to do their caffeine intake and lord knows there are tons of people who die because they have sky high cholesterol due to eating foods such as cheeseburgers so yeah I say they qualify as nasty poisons if taken in excess

actually the negative effects of soda are apparent after just one glass were as one glass wine (which contains alcohol) or beer (which also contains alcohol) has a positive effect, and it isn't until someone has two or more glasses that there is any negative effect (no studies have been done on the possible positive effects of other types of alcohol) so I would say that soda is worse than alcohol

I believe it is no one´s business what others do. Therefore, the term "straight edge" has no point whatsoever, since it is a matter of personal choice. Why should someone care about other people´s health? If a person wants to be healthy, its their choice, and if someone wants to fuck up their body its their choice, too.
As for what the original post said, I believe that people will not change their vocabulary, and that most won´t ever really analyze those terms. I believe they are stupid and should not be used, but that won´t be happening anytime soon.
