I'm a huge Death Note fan. I'm up to date with the anime episodes, I've seen the first movie, and I have 1-11 in the manga.

My favorite characters are Light and Mikami. Misa's not that bad though... Maybe I'm just saying that because she acts a little like my best friend, I dunno.

Isn't there going to be a Death Note game for the Nintendo DS too?

Great site, I get my Death Note from there. Keep meaning to get another anime and the Death Note manga but never get round to it.

Hmm is there? I don't think I would like that, not that I have a DS anyway.

www.mangavolume.com has the series. I'm addicted to this site, as you can read so much manga on it.

The second movie was actually quite ok, although the ending is kinda disappointing. L should not die (although he isn't my fav character).
Fans complained the lack of orginality in the first movie. Thats why the second movie was way off the original manga.

Come to think of it, L is what really made the whole thing really interesting. He got completely upfront with Raito and was around him all the time, whereas Near and Mello are attacking from a safe distance with their faces protected... Nowhere near as ballsy as L.

I would laugh, especially is they made her die in some horrible fashion, such as biting off her tongue. She is an idol, so maybe she would be killed by a stalker?
Funnily enough, that was what this girl I knew said the moment she discovered the existance of Raito's girlfriend.

But, she's better than Takada. Takada is gormless and a brainless Kira worshipper, with big boobs and an attitute. Raito's taste in women is appauling.

Oh, here's the site I use to get the episodes from. It's excellent and they're all fulllength and good quality without too muchdownload time.

Waiting til july. Only one more month to go and then Volume 12 comes out.....

Well, well, well, a new post on this thread, amazing. I have yet to read number 12 in the series, I haven't been able to get to Borders lately. Light will achieve world domination! I just know it! At least...I'm rooting for him to, lol, I can't help it, he's completely psycho, but he's the main character, and he grows on you. Light is god!

I hate to pop in so late in the thread:
I've read the first volume of Death Note, and I enjoyed it. I just haven't gotten around to reading the rest of it yet. (Something always gets in the way.)

When the end is nearing, it gets funnier as Light gets even more insane. Oh, I just think he's wonderful- with all that meticulous planning. Nyaa, the ending of the anime sucked socks. >_<

Anybody know if the manga is 'downloadable'?

I got up to the Anime episode where Light gets the FBI agent's wife to kill herself and I just couldn't watch anymore.
He disgusted me too much as a character I just wanted to twist his head off.
Or for L to catch him.

Aaah well.

I saw the first movie, that was rather kewl.

I have yet to read the manga, but I've seen the dvd, and I'm lucky enough to be living in Japan, so I'm gonna go buy the dvd sometime soon! I've been meaning to get it since easter, but never got round to it!

I'm just going to wait and try to watch it on Youtube, most probably.

I read the final book the moment it came out.

Suckiest.

Ending.

Ever.

I mean, I considered the possibility of the outcome, but I didn't really prepare myself for it, so when it did happen, I went into a social ball and didn't talk to anyone properly for a day. Incredibly guttering.

You're probably going to find the ending of the anime even more dissapointing and irritating. x3

Hah. I'm not too big on anime or manga nor have I seen/read any Death Note but, a few of my friends say I look like Mello. Also a bunch people at an anime con I went to once called me Mello, but I wasn't cosplaying.

I have to admit I liked it at the beginning. It was cool to see how they were trying to keep themselves one step in front of the other, and they were very intelligent, but eventually it stopped feeling like a hunt. It got boring.
Plus, I really loathe anime. Anime fans piss me off. Anime fan friends always want to take me to tupid conventions and there's no time geeky wannabe-dark groups of teenagers don't stop me to ask me if they can take my picture. It's fucking creepy.

It lost focus and interesting plotlines. I stopped watching after L died. That was the very last thing I could handle happening at that point, oh, and the concept sucks. Seriously.

Edit: Fanboys are scary.

I won't go into detail, as to avoid spoiling it for anyone but..

I enjoyed this anime immensely up to a pivotal event (somewhere around the middle of the series) that changed the game completely. The biggest one. If you've seen it then you know the one I mean. After that it just didn't seem as exciting for me.
