There are a few good punk bands from there. Minnesota has a decent scene here. Not a lot of punkettes though. Damn.

There is a little record store in Birmingham you would like. I do manage to find approximately 1 cd a year there that I actually like.
It does have a shitload of punk records/cd's though.

I go through Havoc Records in Minneapolis. They specialize in crust punk and Scandinavian Hardcore punk. Cds are $9 in the US, they also have LPs for $6 and 7" for $4.
