Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Most people know him already, but I like J.S. Bach.
"Bourree."
A little off topic, Jack Black put words to it in the Pick of Destiny Movie.
It almost made me cry it was so wonderful.

Camille Saint-Saens - Danse Macabre, Les Carnival Des Animaux, Aquarium, pretty much anything.
Wagner - Ride of the Valkyrie. Nobody mentioned this?
I have a huge wealth of Classical Music knowledge, but whenever I try to recollect it is when it's furthest away, haha.

One of my friends favor Vivaldi, but I don't listen to much classical. Perhaps some Bach here and there...or a march...

Personally, I like Choppin. You might want to check out Prelude in C Minor. It's piano classical, though, but it's like totally awesome. It goes from as loud as possible to as quiet as possible. He does a lot of things like that.

When it comes to true Classical music, I adore me Mozart operas (especially Le Nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni) and several of Haydn's symphonies. I'm also very fond of Baroque music (Purcell and Händel especially), Romantic (Puccini, Rossini, Verdi, Mascagni, Tchaikowskij - especially his ballets Pulcinella and the Spring Sacrifice, Ravel and others) and Impressionist music (Debussy's "Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune", "Children's Corner", "La Cathedral Engloutié" and "Syrinx" comes to mind, aswell as Satie - I'm especially fond of one of his chansons, "Sylvie", which I am singing right now). There are also a few contemporary/ modern composers whose works I enjoy immensely, like Carl Orff, Menotti and Barber, whose works I've had the pleasure to perform on several occasions.

I am a HUGE Dmitri Shostakovitch fan...for starters, try to download "Piano Trio No. 2 in E-Minor" and "Symphony No. 5 in D-Minor".
