| Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Sid Sings?
I have a problem with Sid Vicious.
Personally I think London Calling is respected by music authoritative figures, but is heavily underrated by most people, even though it's been such an influence on most of today's musical circles, and with much better lyrics than virtually everything produced today.

"Wild Mood Swings" by the Cure gets a lot of hate, but I'm quite fond of it. Except for "The 13th." That song is truly terrible.

"Hyaena" is supposed to be the crappiest album by Siouxsie and the Banshees but I like it u-lut. And you have to say "u-lut" like Lloyd on "Dumb and Dumber."
Sorry, that was not neccessary. Teeehee.

Abort by Tribe is one of those extremely underrated albums that I truly love. Come to think of it, Tribe themselves were a truly underrated band.

I forgot to add some stuff. Anything by Bastards is really underrated. They're a Finnish hardcore punk band from the 80's. Also, even if he is the grossest performer of our time, GG Allin has some good stuff too. Well so what if you don't like Sid Vicious Jillian? I like his music.

"Rid of Me" by PJ Harvey.
Although it's often looked down upon when compared to her other albums, I think it is powerfully raw.

Iron Butterfly is an acid rock band. Television is a good slice of proto punk as is Pere Ubu.

Samhain's "Unholy Passion" EP. It's got some of their best stuff on it.

I'm a n00b, but I agree with you and your dad.... that is one hella eclectic and gorgeous album.
My choice, Peter Gabriel "Up"---released in '03, minimum exposure, but ol' boy pulled out ALL the stops....

Nighthawks At The Diner by Tom Waits.
My second favourite Waits album, and nobody ever seems to mention it.

When it came out, The Shape of Punk to Come by Refused was the most underrated album ever.
I didn't think Welcome To Sky Valley was that underrated. Could have been. *shrug*

Just thought of another one: "Playing the Angel" Depeche Mode.... i do not know why this didn't get more rave reviews; IMHO, all of the synth kids about nowadays could take lessons from this....
