Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL.

Looking For Covers Of Joy Division

I've decided I'm going to make a play list consisting only of songs that are Joy Division covers. The problem is, I can only think of three.

Killers - Shadowplay
Radiohead - Ceremony
Nine Inch Nails - Dead Souls

It'd be much appreciated if anyone else here can think of any Joy Division covers, preferably not New Order, though they won't be turned away.

If you add New Order, all I can think of is Blue Monday by Orgy.

Nouvelle Vague!!!!! Awesome sound regardless. A beautiful and sad cover. I would wager that it's better in most ways than the original. The crashing waves and children playing make it sound so much more isolated and sad.

Actually, NV made a lot of covers by goth bands. They did Bela Legoisi's Dead apparently and A Forest by The Cure.

Miron you are a font of information. How do you know all this? (If you say it's on a website somewhere, virtually laugh at my expense.)

i'll adnit that i've heard very few of these. I was actually unaware of the covers by many of the better known bands. A few of them I'm going to have to seek out.
