| Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Rubella Ballet
Anyone here listen to them? I've heard them described as proto-goth anarcho and what I've heard is very good. I heard a few songs from my friend's iPod and on youtube, but can't find any more. I want to get some albums, but am unsure how to get them. If anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Proto-goth anarcho? What the hell is that? Anyways, I will keep them in mind to give them a listen. I'm assuming you tried the mandatory Google search?

Gothic rock before it had a name mixed with anarcho punk.
You don't have to have a myspace to order do you? Cause I don't want to have to make one.

All I've heard is the one cut they have on that new comp "Radioactive Decay", I don't know if that one is indicative of their stuff or not. I like it, but probably not enough to search for other stuff they've done.

Naw you don't need to. They have the albums listed and underneath a button that says add to cart, you buy them using paypal, no myspace needed. Only viewing the page is needed, =p

Yeah, I've got Slant and Slide. And for those of you in here, keep Sid (a member) in your thoughts because he's got leukemia and trying to fight the good fight.

You can find many songs by them on Soulseek.

I listen to a bit of Rubella Ballet, got 'At Last It's Playtime' off Soulseek. Some guy randomly messaged me on facebook a while back about how he hung out with them 'back in the day' and didn't realise anyone knew who they were anymore, haha. I like the song Tangled Web the most...

Some would actually like to support the artist, ya know?

Cool. I'm gonna order the stuff from theirspace. My computer isn't 1337 enough to download crap even if I wanted to. Buying whole albums makes me feel better because I feel like I have the entire deal of what they want people to have. While downloading is conveinient, it seems somewhat hollow. Plus, they send extra goodies with the albums like posters and buttons and stickers and the likes. I like getting stuff like that.

You can download the songs in soulseek to have them. And if you really feel you have to show support by giving them money then you can still buy the CD. There's no losing.
