Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

Growing out a fringe
I'm growing out a straight fringe and it's pissing me off because I don't know what to do with it while it's in the awkward stage, as in it's neither short enough to be on my forehead but not long enough to be tucked behind the ears.
What do I do to make it look less stupid?

I'd go with a headband.

What if I'm afraid of my forehead?

Then just wait it out. I went through the whole awkward I'm growing a fringe stage doing nothing too it, so it looked cracked out until it was grown in. Just like everything else I do, I personally just wait it out.
Though I love straight-line fringes on women, I wish I'd see more of it. Why are you getting rid of it anyways?

I wanted a change of style but I can't cut it since I just waited a year to go from almost bald to actual hair. I want to know what I'd look like with emo bangs (don't shoot me)

get a really thick headband...kind of like the ones people use for dreads and use that to push it back and disguise it.

Pin it around and just put it exactly where you want it.

Yeah, it's international slang but to her and some others, fringe just sounds cooler/used more often. But for me, saying "Bettie fringe" is kinda weird thus I prefer bangs.

well bangs can mean any kind of bangs, but a fringe to me is that straight across the forehead cut

I straighten my fringe. It makes it longer and looks neater.

I see...well, the last time I grew out my bangs. I just had to wait it out, some times its too short to pin out of the way and too long to be in your face...it can get pretty annoying.
