My mom has been in and out of rehab (for both physical rehab and drug abuse) since I was younger, she's forgotten who I am while on drugs, acted in incredibly selfish ways that put me in direct and severe danger multiple times, and has several mood/personality disorders.
As for my near robotic practicality and coldness--you're right, these are the reasons I am that way. When you grow up with craziness all around you, you have to be able to see what is real and what is not. I'm rational and realistic to a fault.

To Kerri and raggedyanne, thank you. I've had a really bizarre and emotionally hurtful few days, and even a little bit of niceness makes me feel good.
To Duckman...thanks. I know you and I know you're really a sweetheart.

Yea, you're gonna be ok (which I'm sure you know), your rationality is gonna get you far and what's good is that you still have the ability to show and feel compassion.

take three ibuprofin and a warm bath. The stuff was actually invented to get rid of cramps, but worked so well as a generic pain reliever that they now use it for everything else. But if you take three or four right as the cramps start, it literally stops them in their tracks.

Robert Plant sang about a lemon, but for me to type it out here would be...lemon-lime.

Ugh, I woke up with the dryest throat in the history of the universe. If I didn't know better I'd have thought the hamster had been lying in it >.<

I'm a Democrat, but I have always been respectful of other peoples political views. Maybe it's because this is the first presidential election I can vote in, or maybe it's because even I am feeling the effects of Bush's reign, but it makes me increasingly angry that anyone would vote for McCain, he's just another Bush. The worst is that it's middle and lower middle class people who are voting for him, that doesn't make any sense.
Also, my father is a real idiot about politics. My mother had to register him because he never did, and now he won't shut up and stop spewing crap. He told my sister he would punch me in the face if I voted for Obama. When my sister asked if he would do the same if she voted for Obama he said "no, it would be different". McCain though, really?

I need something to gnaw but there is nothing sufficiently gnaw-able within the house...
Suggestions of items I should buy to gnaw on, to prevent myself from biting someone at school... again...

Or some rawhide!
Yargh. I am sick of dealing with my dad. My mom is using me as a "pawn".. she is fine with me not seeing him when it's convenient, but when I need something like a car, I am supposed to suck up to him. He's a fucking bastard; I hate him. She made me call him on fathers day, and is making me go to a cookout with him, and all he's done is bitch at me. I hate both of my parents, really. /rant
