Gothic Romantic Movies

I'm deeply saddened . i hate when really good movies end! I get lost in them & just want to keep watching them forever! haha does anyone know of any good dark romantic movies? what are your favorites? for example some of mine are V for vendetta , underworld & underworld evolution , the phantom of the opera , corpse bride , etc. i know theres more =/ i should know since i practically watched them all several times in a row!

50 First Dates. It's Gothic because it's over rated.

Most of Tim Burton's movies are in the gothic romantic cathegory, I think. Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd (with the perfect gothic romantic ending - oh, how I cried when I saw it for the first time last night...) and Edward Scissorhands come to mind...

I think the Mists of Avalon is romantic and Gothic. I cry every time I watch it, love that movie. Midsummer Nights Dream is romantic also, and loads of fun.

V For Vendetta is romantic, but not in an overt way. It's just a subtle love story played under the dystopian overtones and it works well. I love that film.

I like Underworld. Not much else to say about it.

The Phantom of the Opera, I'm assuming that you're referring to the 2004 version. It was pretty good, but not great.

Corpse Bride I've never seen.

It's not romantic, but The Straight Story makes me all weepy-like.
