Unofficial Religion Thread
This is for all those rants on wether God exists, or not, and other religious topics. For instance, what religion you're part of, what you feel about your religion, what you think is great or sucks about your religion. For example...
I am an Athiest, and very proud of being one. I was once going to convert to christianity, but after realizing a certain something, I just decided to go Athiest. I feel religion is just another one of those clique type things.

It's not a clique type thing. That would be a very un-thought-through way to put it. But it most definitely is just a control thing.
I'm a firm believer of our Lord Jesus Christ Nathaniel Hubbard, who came to the earth in the form of a sword to fight the hordes of Jewish Orcs back to the pits of hell.

I consider myself pagan ( although technically it is often called neo paganism nowadays ) . I am still buying books by various people left right and centre, so as to get as broad a view on it as possible. I'd really like to go to the Mercian gathering in September too, but I reckon it will be next years.

Agnostic.
I agree with some philosophies that Thelema have borrowed and the only "christian" belief that I can really make any sense from is the Gnostics.
I wait and see, essentially.

I'm agnostic, I suppose. I'd love to be a voodooiene, but that shit doesn't work. Damn.
Is anyone else thinking of the Metalocalypse episode where Murderface attempts to find religion? The ending is spot-on.

Atheist here..
The only reason i would consider a religion or belief would be simply because of an afterlife, because i hate the thought of just dying and nothing else happens..

I don't mind pushin' up daises, as long as I don't have to worry about a hell and whether or not I'm going there. It's grating, I tell you!

Achieving life is not the equivalent of avoiding death.

What's really so wrong with oblivion after death? To cease to be. No more bullshit, no more bills, no more hassles, just... nothing. Sounds cathartic to me. So live it up while you can to the best that you can and that's that.

I'm indifferent. I do my best to not screw anyone over, and help out where I can.
I imagine that "after death" is rather similar to "before birth".

I'm a Christian. I've always been a firm believer in God, as that's how I've been raised; and it's also by my own choice I continued to pursue Christianity. I feel it's really helped me build character over the years, as well as having made me an all-around better person. Though I am sometimes a bitch--who isn't now and again--I'm mainly a very nice person, and that's because, through going to a Christian school and being brought up in a Christian household, I've been able to maintain stability. I don't sleep around, do drugs, or drink--activities most of my peers take part in. And personally, I'd like to thank my upbringing for that, and the morals my faith has taught me.
Don't take that all the wrong way though. I don't force my religion on anyone.
Never have, never will.

Agnostic.
I really don't care what happens after death, and I don't think that it's something we should concern ourselves with.

Well, you do miss the next game in the Biohazard series. That's a little rough.

You're just comfortable with the idea of eternal torture for them all. We can dig it.

I'm a spiritualist and I talks to dead people all the time. The one thing they all have in common is that they're very happy. They can drink tea in a cottage full of flowers any time they want. And they can fly.

I don't have a religion. I haven't really found one I like. I admit I'm a bit of a skeptic.

if there are 20 of them, then we need 20 more.
I lean towards Deism; The philosophy/religion that does not deny God, but does, on the other hand, deny any personification of him. It's more a force, or "clockmaker" that is given the name "God."

40 threads arguing the same damn thing! Sounds like fun.
And there is no way you can convert them to your (insert your name here) way of thinking. Not by providing proof, reasoned arguments justifying your position, not nothing.
Why even bother as long as one keeps their religion to themselves.

Eternal torture doesn't really worry me all that much. I'm a pretty resourceful guy, I'll figure a way out. Eventually.
As cool as it would be to find a big throne to kick over, it just doesn't seem all that plausible to me.

I hope you didn't take that quote seriously. It was just a joke.
